More about eufy outdoor cameras ▾
eufy's outdoor range comes in a few families. SoloCams are all-in-one and save to their own storage, no hub needed. eufyCams are the HomeBase systems, where one hub stores footage from several cameras. Then there are wired floodlight and wall-light cams for spots with power, and PoE cameras that record around the clock to a network recorder. Many pair with a small solar panel to top up the battery, which means fewer trips up the ladder.
Not sure what your camera needs? Questions we get asked
Do I need a HomeBase for an outdoor camera?
It depends on the family. SoloCams work on their own. eufyCam S330 and S3 Pro need a HomeBase 3, while eufyCam 2C, 2C Pro and E40 work with a HomeBase 2 or HomeBase 3. Each listing says so up top, and our Compatibility Checker covers the rest.
What's the difference between a SoloCam and a eufyCam?
A SoloCam is a single unit with the camera, storage and usually a solar panel built in or supplied, so it works straight off your Wi-Fi. A eufyCam is built around a HomeBase, which stores footage from several cameras in one place.
Where should I put the solar panel?
Somewhere that gets several hours of direct sun, which usually means north-facing here in Australia, and within reach of its cable. The 3W panel's lead is 2 m, and a genuine 3 m extension cable adds reach. Then set Power Source to Solar Panel in the eufy app.
My camera can't find my Wi-Fi. What should I try?
Set it up standing close to the router, on your 2.4GHz network. If your network still doesn't appear, change the router's 2.4GHz channel from Auto to 1, 6 or 11, then try again. It's a quick change and worth trying before anything else.
Are Manufacturer Renewed cameras worth it?
They've been used, then refurbished and tested before resale. Each one is graded Excellent, Good or Fair on looks and carries the same 12-month CamGuard warranty as new stock. The Condition Grading Guide shows what each grade looks like.
Will it handle Aussie weather?
eufy's outdoor cameras are weather-sealed, rated IP65 to IP67 depending on the model, so rain and dust are part of the job description. Each listing gives the exact rating. On a hot, west-facing wall, a spot with a little shade can help the battery.
