Do I need a HomeBase?
Yes, sold separately. HomeBase 3, HomeBase Mini or the Professional S1 runs it; update the Mini’s firmware before pairing. Without one, the camera won’t record.
Is a renewed unit worse at its job than a new one?
No. Looks can vary on the housing, not in how it works: a renewed unit runs the same published spec sheet. What can differ is cosmetic marks and the packaging.
Does it work with Apple Home?
No. It works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant; eufy’s FAQ says HomeKit support is still in development.
How much sun does it need?
In eufy’s own test, 2 hours of full direct sun a day keeps it running for a full day. Results vary with placement and sunlight, so in a shady spot plan on USB-C top-ups.

What does Manufacturer Renewed mean?

Will two hours of sunlight always keep it full?
No. That is eufy’s sustaining-use scenario under suitable direct sunlight and typical use. Shade, cloud, frequent triggers, longer clips and live viewing can increase battery demand.
Does it record continuously?
No. The S330 is designed for event recording. Increasing HomeBase storage capacity does not add a 24/7 continuous recording mode.
Where is the 16 GB or 16 TB storage?
Those figures belong to HomeBase 3, not the add-on camera. HomeBase 3 has 16 GB built in and supports expansion up to 16 TB with a suitable drive, sold separately.
