More about eufy video doorbells ▾
Battery doorbells go up without any wiring, while wired setups charge from your existing doorbell wiring. Dual-camera models add a second lens pointing down, so you see the parcel on the doormat as well as the person holding it. Recordings are stored locally, so there's no monthly fee to keep them.
Chimes are the tricky bit: some doorbells work with your existing mechanical chime and some don't, and only certain eufy chimes pair, so check the listing first. Our Australian home security statistics guide explains why a front-on view of the path to your door matters. Every doorbell carries a 12-month CamGuard warranty on top of your Australian Consumer Law rights, and ships from Townsville.
Questions we get asked
Does it come with a chime?
No. The Video Doorbell E340 and C30 don't include one. Your phone, a compatible eufy chime or a HomeBase can ring instead, and a hardwired E340 can also use your existing mechanical chime.
Which eufy chimes work with the E340?
The MiniBase Chime (T8023) and Video Doorbell Chime 2 (T8026). The older eufy Wi-Fi Chime (T8020) and eufy Chime (T8740 and T8742) won't pair, so check the model number before buying one.
Can I wire it into my existing doorbell?
The E340 can. It runs from 16 to 24V AC doorbell wiring (10VA) or eufy's plug-in adapter, and its battery stays in either way. If you're unsure what's behind your old doorbell button, ask an electrician.
Does it work with Apple Home?
The E340 doesn't. It works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant instead, so if Apple Home matters to you, check each listing.
Will my Wi-Fi reach the front door?
Check before you mount it. The E340 uses 2.4GHz only, and front doors are often the far end of the house from the router. If the signal is weak there, a Wi-Fi extender part way along can help.
How long does the battery last?
eufy rates the E340 at around four months per charge, and busy doorways use more. It charges over USB-C, or hardwire it and let the wiring keep it topped up.
