The grade tells you the condition.
It covers whether the unit is new or Manufacturer Renewed, the relevant packaging state and the cosmetic expectation.
The listing tells you the contents.
A condition name is not a universal accessory list. The product page’s included-contents wording controls what comes in that particular parcel.
Five routes to the same important question: what am I buying?
Read the title first, then the included-contents section. The cards below set the grade expectation; item-specific details remain on the product page.
Brand New
Unused- Unit
- New and unused.
- Packaging
- Usually sealed retail packaging. If the listing says OEM packaging or another format, that item-specific wording controls.
- Cosmetics
- No previous-use wear expected.
- Contents
- Exactly what the listing states; do not infer extras from a manufacturer bundle photo.
New Open-box
Opened- Unit
- New and unused. It is not refurbished or renewed.
- Packaging
- The retail box has been opened or the item has been repacked.
- Cosmetics
- No previous-use wear expected; light handling from inspection or repacking may be described.
- Contents
- The listing names what is included. Ask if a small fitting or printed guide is essential to you.
New (Box Damaged)
Box marked- Unit
- New and unused.
- Packaging
- The outer box may be dented, torn, crushed, creased or otherwise marked. It may be opened for inspection where stated.
- Cosmetics
- The packaging damage is not presented as product wear. Any item damage must be separately disclosed.
- Contents
- Use the product page’s exact contents and notes, not the condition name alone.
New No Box
Kit split- Unit
- New and unused, commonly separated from a larger multi-device kit.
- Packaging
- No individual retail box. Protective or OEM packaging is used for dispatch as described.
- Cosmetics
- No previous-use wear expected; handling or packaging notes remain item-specific.
- Contents
- Only the items expressly listed are promised. Do not assume retail-box paperwork, spare hardware or accessories.
Manufacturer Renewed
Refurbished- Unit
- Professionally refurbished and tested through Anker’s official program. It may have been previously used.
- Packaging
- Retail packaging is not assumed. The listing describes the supplied packaging where material.
- Cosmetics
- Excellent, Good or Fair appears in the title and sets the visible-wear expectation.
- Contents
- The item-specific included-contents list controls; renewed does not automatically mean the original retail bundle.
Same category. Different cosmetic history.
All Manufacturer Renewed items are sold as functional and tested. The subgrade tells you how much visible cosmetic evidence of previous handling or use to expect; the individual listing adds any specific notes.
Excellent
Near-new presentation. If marks are present, they should be light handling signs that take close inspection to notice.
Good
Clean and functional, with signs of previous use that are visible on close inspection and reflected in the price.
Fair
Functional and tested, with honest cosmetic wear you can see. The saving is larger because the exterior history is more obvious.
The discount route changes. The basic obligations do not.

Is New Open-box the same as refurbished?
No. New Open-box means the unit is new and unused but its retail packaging has been opened or it has been repacked. Manufacturer Renewed means the product has been refurbished and tested through the manufacturer’s program.
Does New No Box include everything from the retail box?
Not automatically. New No Box describes a new, unused unit without its individual retail box, often because it came from a larger kit. The product page’s included-contents list is the promise for that item.
Does Box Damaged mean the product is damaged?
No. The grade describes damage to the outer packaging while the unit is sold as new. If the product itself has a mark or defect, that must be separately disclosed in the listing.
Are Manufacturer Renewed items used?
They may have been previously used. They are refurbished and tested through Anker’s official program, then sold with an Excellent, Good or Fair cosmetic grade and item-specific condition details.
Do all grades receive the same warranty?
