Event clips, not all day: the C30 has no 24/7 recording and no pre-roll. eufy also notes that push notifications with thumbnail previews store the thumbnail in the cloud temporarily.
It records and alerts; it doesn’t stop anyone on its own.

A 5,000 mAh battery runs the C30, charged over USB-C. There’s no wired mode, so no doorbell wiring runs to it, and it can’t drive an old wired chime.

Do I need a HomeBase or a subscription?
No. It runs on its own over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and saves clips to a microSD card (up to 128 GB, not included), with no monthly fee for local storage. HomeBase 2, 3, Mini and Professional S1 are optional.
Will it ring my existing chime?
No, it can’t drive a mechanical chime. For a ring inside, add a MiniBase Chime (T8023) or Chime 2 (T8026), pair a HomeBase 2 or 3, or set up an Alexa Echo.
Does the video call work with a HomeBase?
eufy says the live video call currently supports solo use only, so the call works when the C30 runs on its own, not through a HomeBase.
Can I wire it in?
No, it’s battery only: 5,000 mAh, charged over USB-C. The Video Doorbell C31 (T8223) is eufy’s model that can also be wired.
