eufy HomeBase 2 vs 3 vs Mini: which hub do you need?
Start with the cameras you own, then choose the hub. HomeBase 2, HomeBase 3 and HomeBase Mini have different storage options and device support. A bigger number or a newer box is not enough to confirm a match.

Storage capacity does not translate into a fixed number of days for every household. Camera count, resolution, clip length and activity all affect how much footage you can keep. An expandable hub also does not turn a battery camera into a continuous-recording camera.
Which setup are you building?
Replacing an existing HomeBase
Read the model name on your current hub and the model codes on your cameras. Check the exact combination in our eufy compatibility checker before choosing a replacement. If the current system meets your needs, compare like-for-like replacement options before paying for features you will not use.
Adding an eufyCam 3 (S330) camera
The eufyCam 3 S330 is the 4K camera with integrated solar charging. An add-on camera needs a compatible HomeBase, which is sold separately unless the listing explicitly includes one. It is a different product from the S330 video doorbell or S330 4G camera. Match the full name and model, not just “S330”.

Starting with eufyCam C35

Considering HomeBase Professional S1
This is a separate option for customers who need its supported PoE connections and storage features. Check the exact market version as well as camera compatibility. CamGuard's current Professional S1 listing is a US-market T9000121 unit with an Australian-pattern power lead added separately. Treat cellular backup as unavailable for that offer, and read the Wi-Fi channel notes before buying.
Four checks before you buy
- Match every device. Confirm each camera, doorbell and sensor separately. Shared branding does not guarantee shared compatibility.
- Check the exact feature. Pairing, storage, AI and recording modes are different questions. Confirm the feature you need on your chosen combination.
- Read the contents and condition. New No Box describes new, unused equipment without its retail box. Manufacturer Renewed is a separate condition category. The individual listing specifies accessories and grade.

Common HomeBase questions
Does every eufy camera need a HomeBase?
No. Requirements vary by model. Some work independently, while others need a hub. Check both operation and recording requirements in the exact product listing.
Is HomeBase Mini just a smaller HomeBase 3?
No. They have different storage arrangements and supported-device lists. Mini uses 8GB built-in storage with microSD expansion; HomeBase 3 uses 16GB built-in storage with compatible drive expansion. Choose by your devices and recording needs.
Do I need a subscription for local recordings?
Local storage can avoid an ongoing cloud-storage plan on supported setups. Optional cloud services and premium features may carry charges. Check the features you intend to use instead of treating “no monthly fee” as a promise about every feature.
Where can I check the current compatibility?
