Features depend on the camera: some get BionicMind on the hub, some get storage only (the guest list below has each one). Cloud Backup and thumbnail-preview alerts are optional; switch them on and eufy sends the clips or thumbnails they need to the cloud.
BionicMind
Learns the regulars.
BionicMind is eufy’s AI, and on HomeBase 3 it runs on the hub. With supported cameras it uses facial recognition to tell family members from strangers, and picks out people, vehicles and pets.
eufy pitches it as a filter for alerts: you decide which notifications matter, so family coming home needn’t ping your phone. It’s a helpful label, not a certainty; light, angle and distance change results.

16 GB of eMMC is built in and can’t be removed. Add a drive to the bay up top and HomeBase 3 takes up to 16 TB.

The hub adds BionicMind on the S4, S340 (hub V3.3.2.6+), E42 (3.6.8.9+) and Wall Light Cam S4, where it’s the only hub; storage only, no extra AI, on Indoor Cam C220 and C210. S350 and E340 need hub V3.3.2.6+; the E330 lock needs hub 3.1.9.1+ and app 4.6.1+. 24/7 on the S4 needs hub V3.7.2.8+. The 4G LTE Cam S330 pairs only while on Wi-Fi, and the Smart Lock E40 can’t sit on HomeBase 3 and another smart home gateway at once.

Setting up
Shelf, socket, router.
It lives indoors on mains power. Cable it to your router with the Ethernet cable in the parcel, add it in the eufy Security app, then pair your devices one by one.

Why no carton? eufy sells HomeBase 3 inside some multi-camera kits. This one is new, unused stock separated from a genuine kit, so it travels without a carton of its own.

What does New No Box mean?
New and never used, with every standard accessory. Only the printed retail carton is missing, so it ships in plain protective packaging instead.
Does it record on its own?
No. It has no camera; it stores what compatible eufy devices send it.
Which hard drive fits?
A 5 V, 2.5-inch SATA hard drive or SSD up to 16 TB, drawing no more than about 6 W. Not included; 12 V drives won’t work.
Is there a monthly fee?
None for local storage. Optional eufy cloud features are separate, can cost extra, and send clips or thumbnails to the cloud when you switch them on.
I have a HomeBase 2. Can I move across?
eufy’s One-Tap Migration moves supported devices from HomeBase 2 to HomeBase 3, along with their saved video and settings.
When will my order leave Townsville?

HomeBase 3 stores and organises footage from compatible cameras. It records and alerts; it doesn’t prevent anything, and recognition and detection can miss or mislabel activity.
