Unlike a camera with a detachable panel, the S330’s solar panel is built into its top surface. Mount the camera where the lens has the right view and the panel can receive useful direct sunlight.
eufy’s guidance is about two hours of useful direct sunlight per day for solar maintenance under typical assumptions. Shade, season, heat, event frequency, live viewing and settings all change the result.
Battery noteeufy’s up-to-365-day battery-only claim is based on test use totalling about 300 seconds of recording per day. It is not a promise for every installation. Recharge manually if solar harvest does not keep pace.

At up to 15 frames per second, the S330 prioritises detailed battery-camera event clips rather than high-frame-rate action footage. Digital zoom enlarges captured pixels; it does not create detail the sensor never recorded.
There is no pan, tilt or optical tracking mechanism. A roughly 2–3 metre mounting height, a clear path across the detection zone and a test recording before final tightening give the fixed view its best chance.
Field noteFaces and number plates depend on distance, angle, movement, light, obstruction and exposure. No consumer camera guarantees identification in every event.

Is the solar panel removable?
No. The solar panel is integrated into the S330 camera. Choose a position that gives both the camera a useful fixed view and the panel useful direct sunlight.
Who provides the warranty?
CamGuard Australia provides its own 12-month warranty. This is not presented as an eufy or Anker manufacturer warranty, and your rights under Australian Consumer Law remain unaffected.
