It looks one way at a time. Tracking moves the camera towards what it detects; anything behind its current view isn't in the shot, so place it where the turns count.

Charge the camera, open the eufy app and add it to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, or to a HomeBase 3 if you have one.

Before any drilling, check signal strength, live view and the detection area from where it'll live.

Camera where the view is best, panel where the sun is. Use the positioning guide and the extension cable.

Questions, answered.
My box says Solo S3. Did I get the right camera?
Yes. eufyCam Solo S3 and SoloCam S340 are two retail names for the same T8170 dual-lens pan-and-tilt camera, and eufy's own documentation uses both. It's a different product from the eufyCam S3 Pro, which is a HomeBase kit camera.
Do I have to buy a HomeBase?
No. It connects straight to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and records to its built-in 8 GB. A HomeBase 3 is an optional extra, sold separately, if you want expandable hub storage. eufy's guide lists other hubs as well, but its own pages disagree on some, so ask us before pairing anything else.
Will the solar panel keep it charged all year?
In a spot with good direct sun it does a lot of the work. Season, shade, how busy the area is and your recording settings all change the balance, so an occasional USB-C top-up may still be needed. Charge it fully before first use and check the battery level in the app for the first few weeks.
Does it record around the clock?
No. It records clips when motion triggers it, not a continuous 24/7 stream. If you need an unbroken recording, choose a camera built for continuous recording instead.
What does Brand New mean here?
Factory-new stock in its sealed original retail box, which will be labelled Solo S3. We don't open sealed units. It comes with our own 12-month warranty, not a manufacturer warranty, and your rights under Australian Consumer Law apply on top of that.
When will my order leave Townsville?
We do our best to get orders out the same day. Same day to 1 business day is our typical dispatch time from Townsville, Queensland. During busy periods it can take a little longer, though that's rare. Australia Post delivery time is on top of dispatch.
