eufy Security Smart Lock C220 | Manufacturer Renewed (Excellent Condition)
eufy Security Smart Lock C220
The fingerprint deadbolt that runs your front door like a velvet rope — your prints and passcodes on the list, a neat record of who came and went, and six different ways in. Now on its second shift, tested and renewed.
Let's talk about "Renewed" first
This lock had a previous life. It went back to the manufacturer, where it was inspected, tested and restored to full working order through eufy/Anker's official renewal program — then graded before resale.
This unit is graded Excellent — the top renewed grade. Expect a lock in near-new cosmetic condition, with light handling marks at most. It arrives in renewed (non-retail) protective packaging, not a sealed retail box.
And it's covered: our in-house 12-month CamGuard warranty (this is a CamGuard warranty, not a manufacturer warranty), on top of your Australian Consumer Law rights.
Tonight's guest list
Everyone who gets past the door, and one honest note about who this door suits.
Fifty fingerprints. A hundred codes. One very organised door.
Enrol up to 50 fingerprints for the people who live there, and hand out up to 100 passcodes for everyone else — the cleaner on Thursdays, the dog-walker, a tradie who needs the morning. The touchscreen keypad is smudge and dirt resistant, and supports a scramble passcode that shuffles the keypad layout so finger positions don't reveal your PIN.
Prefer old-school? There's a physical key in the box, and the eufy Security app handles the rest — access management, real-time notifications and an event history of every entry, all from your phone.
Hands full? Pick another way in.
Fingerprint is the quick one — recognised in well under a second. Then there's the touchscreen keypad, the physical key, and the eufy app. Apple Watch and voice (through Alexa or Google Assistant) round out the six.
Straight up: the fingerprint, keypad, key and app are the four direct ways on the lock itself. Apple Watch and voice run through the eufy app and your assistant rather than as separate buttons on the door — handy, but worth knowing how they work.
Powered like a torch. Built like a bouncer.
It runs on 8× AA batteries — included in the box, no charging cradle, no wiring an electrician. eufy quotes around eight months of typical use; their own heavier-use figure, at roughly ten locks and unlocks a day, is closer to four months. Either way, you're swapping batteries a couple of times a year, not nightly.
And if they ever die at the worst possible moment, there's a USB-C port on the base — touch a power bank to it and you get an emergency jolt to unlock. (It's emergency power only: it won't recharge the AAs.) Underneath the theatrics it's a serious deadbolt — ANSI/BHMA Grade 3, tested past 100,000 cycles, with an IP53 weather-resistant exterior good from −30°C to 70°C.
"Every front door deserves a bouncer with a good memory and no attitude — keeps the list, opens in a heartbeat, and never once loses the guest book."— The vibe, in one sentence
House rules — the fine print at the door
Every lock has limits. Here are this one's, stated plainly:
This is a Manufacturer Renewed unit, Excellent grade — near-new cosmetics with light handling marks at most, in renewed (non-retail) protective packaging. It's had a previous life. If you need factory-sealed, this isn't the listing for you.
The C220 is sized for standard pre-bored deadbolt bores: door thickness 35–55mm, with the cross-bore centre more than 45mm from the top of the handleset. It is not compatible with mortise locks. Doors vary, so measure your door prep before you order — if you're unsure, message us first.
eufy's headline figure is around eight months; eufy's own support estimate, at about ten locks/unlocks a day, is closer to four. Treat eight months as best-case, not a promise.
It works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Apple Watch unlocking is through the eufy Security app, not HomeKit — so it doesn't plug into an Apple Home or Matter setup. If that's your ecosystem, this isn't your lock.
It temporarily powers the lock so you can get in if the AAs die — it does not recharge them, and data transfer over the port is disabled. You still change the batteries.

Door policy — who's on the list
Green rope, you're in. Grey rope, not this door. Amber, have a quick word first.
Standard pre-bored deadbolt doors — 35–55mm thick, with the cross-bore centre more than 45mm from the top of the handleset.
Amazon Alexa & Google Assistant — voice control, and it plays nicely alongside a eufy video doorbell.
Built-in Wi-Fi — connects on its own. No HomeBase, no bridge, nothing else to buy.
Mortise locks — the C220 fits a standard deadbolt bore only.
Apple HomeKit, Matter & IFTTT — not supported on this lock.
eufy HomeBase — this lock won't bind to a HomeBase; it connects direct over Wi-Fi.
Australian doors — plenty will fit, but door prep varies. Measure thickness and cross-bore before buying, and message us if you're unsure.
eufy Security app — free on iOS and Android; that's where codes, prints, alerts and history live.
Probably not for you if…
- Your door is a mortise lock, or the prep doesn't match standard deadbolt dimensions
- You run your home on Apple HomeKit or Matter
- You want a factory-sealed unit (see our New listings instead)
- You'd rather not measure your door before ordering
Perfect for…
- Standard deadbolt doors, where you're done with keys under the mat
- Households juggling housemates, cleaners, dog-walkers and tradies
- Anyone who wants fingerprint entry with a code, a key and their phone as backups
- Value hunters happy to take a tested, renewed unit over shrink-wrap
On the door in four steps
Measure thickness (35–55mm) and confirm a standard deadbolt bore, cross-bore centre >45mm from the handleset top.
Download eufy Security (iOS/Android) and create a free account.
Install the deadbolt, drop in the 8× AA batteries, connect it to your Wi-Fi in the app.
Enrol fingerprints, set passcodes, switch on auto-lock. Door's open for business.
What's in the box
eufy doesn't publish a full itemised box list for the C220, and this is a renewed unit in protective (non-retail) packaging. What we can confirm:
- 🔐 eufy Security Smart Lock C220 (exterior keypad unit + interior assembly)
- 🔋 8× AA batteries (Anker)
- 🗝️ 2× physical keys
- 🔩 Mounting hardware, adapter plates, strike & install guide — the standard eufy deadbolt kit (expected in the box; eufy doesn't itemise it)

Questions at the door
Tap a question for the answer.
What exactly does "Manufacturer Renewed" mean?
The unit was previously used, then returned and put through the manufacturer's official renewal process — inspected, tested and restored to full working order by eufy/Anker before being graded and resold. This one ships in renewed (non-retail) protective packaging and is covered by our 12-month CamGuard warranty (a CamGuard warranty, not a manufacturer one).
What does the "Excellent" grade mean cosmetically?
It's the top renewed grade: near-new condition, with light handling marks at most — nothing you'd notice with the lock on the door, and nothing that affects how it works.
Will it fit an Australian door?
Sometimes — measure first. The C220 is built for standard pre-bored deadbolt doors: 35–55mm thick, with the cross-bore centre more than 45mm from the top of the handleset. It won't fit a mortise lock. Doors vary, so check your door prep before ordering, and message us if you're not sure.
Does it need a HomeBase or a hub?
No. The C220 has built-in Wi-Fi and connects directly — no HomeBase, no bridge. In fact it won't bind to a eufy HomeBase at all; it's Wi-Fi only.
Does it work with Apple HomeKit?
No. It works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Apple Watch unlocking is through the eufy Security app rather than HomeKit, and there's no Matter or IFTTT support.
How many fingerprints and codes can I set?
Up to 50 fingerprints and up to 100 passcodes. Plenty for a household plus cleaners, dog-walkers and the occasional tradie. The keypad also supports a scramble passcode that shuffles the number layout so finger positions don’t reveal your PIN.
What happens if the batteries die?
There's a USB-C port on the exterior base — touch a power bank to it and it temporarily powers the lock so you can unlock and get in. It's emergency power only: it won't recharge the AA batteries, so you'll still swap those. There's also a physical key as a fallback.
Is it really six ways in?
Yes: fingerprint, touchscreen keypad, physical key, the eufy app, Apple Watch and voice via Alexa or Google. To be straight with you, the fingerprint, keypad, key and app are the four direct methods on the lock — Apple Watch and voice run through the app and your assistant rather than as separate controls on the door.
How does the price compare to buying new?
This lock lists at $349.95 RRP at eufy Australia (price checked 23 July 2026). Renewed is how you get the same lock, tested and working, for less.
Is there a manufacturer warranty?
No — the warranty on this lock is our own in-house 12-month CamGuard warranty, not a manufacturer warranty, and it sits alongside your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
