Included items: Read this listing's contents before choosing accessories. A condition grade alone does not tell you which parts or packaging are included.

Compatibility: Requires a compatible eufy HomeBase: original HomeBase, HomeBase E, HomeBase 2 with firmware v3.4.1.2 or later, HomeBase 3, or HomeBase Professional S1. No hub is included. Check your exact HomeBase and its firmware before pairing.

The Door’s Terms & Conditions

By leaving,
you agree…

Leaving home comes with one small agreement: use this keypad to set your compatible alarm system, then get on with your day.

eufy Security Keypad T8960 · Manufacturer Renewed Excellent (Grade A). Physical controls for arming and disarming your compatible eufy system. The hallway has become an office, but only in this fictional agreement.

Compatible eufy HomeBase required. No hub included.

This is an add-on keypad, not a door lock, camera or complete alarm system. It does not work by itself.

eufy Security Keypad T8960 manufacturer model photograph
Model photograph. Manufacturer Renewed Excellent means minimal to no visible signs of use; the image does not document this individual unit.
01
Prerequisite clause · read before signing the metaphor

The HomeBase is the other party.

Your keypad sends control commands to a compatible eufy HomeBase. The original HomeBase, HomeBase E, HomeBase 2 on firmware v3.4.1.2+, HomeBase 3 and HomeBase Professional S1 support the T8960.

No HomeBase is included with this listing. If you do not already have a compatible hub, obtain one separately before expecting the keypad to operate.

Guide note: the hallway has acquired no managerial powers. The HomeBase still does the system work.

Condition schedule A

The cover condition is stated in full.

This is Manufacturer Renewed Excellent stock, with minimal to no visible signs of previous use. It has been professionally refurbished and tested by the manufacturer.

The grade describes the keypad’s cosmetics. It does not unlock a different alarm mode, provide a higher security tier or turn a renewed item into factory-new stock.

A

Guide note: the “excellent” part belongs to the condition. We cannot certify the household’s punctuality.

Item record · this listingGrade A

Excellent condition

Minimal to no visible signs of use. Previously used and manufacturer renewed, with the normal model-specific accessory set included.

We do not claim we tested your individual unit. Expect renewed packaging. Your 12-month CamGuard Australia warranty is our own cover, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

The operative words

Four mode choices.
No search for the app icon.

The keypad puts Home, Away, Custom and Off mode selection on physical controls. Use them with the system you have paired and configured.

Home
Away
Custom
Off

These drawn labels explain the choices; they are not working controls. The actual hardware is shown above, including its numeric keys and mode buttons.

Guide note: “Custom” means a configured system mode. It does not include a tailor for the hallway curtains.

Departure clause

Shoes. Keys.
Choose the mode.

Use Away mode when that is the alarm behaviour you want for an empty home. Configure the system first so you understand which paired devices and actions belong to that mode.

The keypad makes the control available at a convenient indoor position. It does not know whether you remembered the shopping list or left somebody in the lounge.

Unfold the departure note

Follow the manufacturer’s arming instructions and your configured system settings. Confirm the mode change instead of assuming that a button press has completed it. Tell other authorised household users how the setup behaves, including any delays you have configured.

The fictional agreement does not set a fixed countdown. Your actual system’s settings do.

Leaving?
Choose your configured mode.
Then find the shoes.
Return-home counter-signature

Home again.
The paperwork gets shorter.

Disarm the compatible system using the keypad according to its instructions and your configured access arrangements. A physical keypad gives you a consistent place to do that.

Choose an indoor location that suits the household, and keep authorised users familiar with the system. The agreement cannot remember a forgotten code on anyone’s behalf.

The household has returned.

Guide note: this is a signature in a drawing. The keypad does not unlock the door or turn the lights on by legal decree.

HOUSEHOLD AMENDMENT

Your system, your configured modes.

Home mode and a configured Custom mode provide alternatives to Away. Which devices respond, and how they respond, depends on the compatible system and the settings you choose.

The agreement has room for a routine. It has no authority over the person who puts mugs on the wrong shelf.

Variation by agreement

Everybody home is a different situation.

Mode controls are useful because “we are in” and “we have gone out” are different household states. The keypad is an input device for those choices.

Guide note: it is not a new sensor. Adding a keypad does not add a camera view, movement detection or door-contact detection.

The clause with the red pen

A panic control is not a call centre.

The T8960 has a panic/SOS control. Learn its operation and your system’s configured response using the manufacturer instructions before you need it.

Guide note: the word “panic” describes a control. It does not employ an emergency dispatcher.

No response service is included.

This purchase does not include professional monitoring, emergency dispatch or a guarantee that somebody will attend. It is a keypad for a compatible HomeBase system.

The keypad controls the configured system; it does not record video or prevent incidents. The imaginary fine print has had its superhero clause removed.

Compatibility annex · actual names, plain rules

Parties to this arrangement.

  • Original HomeBaseCompatible with T8960; use current firmware.
  • HomeBase ECompatible with T8960; use current firmware.
  • HomeBase 2Firmware v3.4.1.2 or later for the requirement stated in this listing.
  • HomeBase 3Compatible with T8960; use current firmware.
  • HomeBase Professional S1T8960 is listed in the manufacturer’s compatibility table.

HomeBase required and sold separately. No hub is included. Check the exact hub model and intended setup. Compatibility can change with firmware, and the name “HomeBase” on its own is not enough detail.

The annex refuses to accept “the white box near the router” as a model number.

Commencement instructions

Make the agreement operational.

  1. 01

    Prepare the HomeBase

Have your compatible HomeBase working in the eufy app. Update it and confirm the required firmware. A disconnected hub cannot countersign the setup.

  2. 02

    Charge and add the keypad

Follow the manufacturer’s charging and app-pairing instructions. The rechargeable battery is built in, and the supplied charging cable belongs to this standard accessory set.

  3. 03

    Choose an indoor position

Check the connection where you plan to mount it. Use the supplied mounting screws or adhesive arrangement as suitable for the surface and manufacturer guidance. Outdoor walls are outside this agreement.

  4. 04

    Confirm the household routine

Configure and try the relevant modes, explain operation to authorised users and check the system’s response. This is the useful version of reading the terms before pressing something.

The supplied-items envelope

The standard accessories are in.

Included with this renewed keypad

  • One eufy Security Keypad T8960
  • Mounting screws
  • Charging cable
  • Adhesive mounting stickers
  • Owner’s manual
  • Supplied information card

No HomeBase is included. No camera, motion sensor or entry sensor is included. Those are separate system components, not extras hiding in the envelope.

Guide note: “standard accessories included” has been written in full. The envelope has stopped trying to pass off a hub as stationery.

Outside the agreement

A few requests this keypad cannot approve.

  • “I need a complete alarm system in this purchase.” A compatible HomeBase and any required detection devices are separate.
  • “I want something that unlocks my front door.” This is not a door lock or access-control keypad.
  • “I need an outdoor keypad.” T8960 is for indoor use and is not waterproof.
  • “I want it to film the hallway.” There is no camera in this keypad.
  • “I require factory-new stock.” This is manufacturer renewed, with the Excellent-grade cosmetic description stated above.
  • “I want somebody dispatched when I press SOS.” No monitoring or response service is part of this listing.

Clause ninety-seven: finding your shoes remains outside scope. Choosing an alarm mode is a much more reasonable request.

Questions put to the clerk

Read the useful clauses.

Will this keypad start working without the hub?

No. It requires a compatible eufy HomeBase and does not operate as a standalone alarm or direct-to-router keypad. No HomeBase is supplied in this purchase. Check your hub against the compatibility annex, including the stated HomeBase 2 firmware requirement, before buying an add-on for an existing setup.

Does “the door’s agreement” mean it unlocks a door?

No. That is the fictional world used to explain household alarm routines. The T8960 controls a compatible eufy alarm system’s modes; it is not a lock, door-entry reader or motorised latch. If physical door unlocking is your requirement, you need a suitable smart lock rather than this alarm-control accessory.

What does the Excellent condition schedule actually promise?

It promises Manufacturer Renewed Excellent stock with minimal to no visible signs of previous use. The product was professionally refurbished and tested by the manufacturer. It is not factory-new stock, and we do not claim to have tested your individual unit. Normal model-specific accessories and our own 12-month warranty are included.

Can I put it beside an exposed front gate?

No. This keypad is intended for indoor use and is not waterproof. Choose a suitable indoor mounting position, confirm its connection with the compatible HomeBase and follow the manufacturer’s installation instructions. The drawn doorway in this listing is scenery, not evidence of an outdoor rating or permission to ignore exposure.

Does the panic control send a person to my address?

No monitoring or emergency response service is included. The keypad’s panic/SOS control works within the configured compatible system; learn the manufacturer’s instructions and what your setup actually does. This product listing does not promise attendance, prevention of incidents or any other security outcome simply because a control has been pressed.

Does a different mode add a missing sensor?

No. Modes change configured system behaviour; they do not create hardware that is not installed. The keypad does not add a camera, motion detector or entry sensor. Your available setup depends on compatible devices you pair and configure separately. The standard accessories in the envelope are mounting and charging items, not extra detection equipment.

When is the dispatch paperwork normally completed?

We do our best to dispatch the same day. Same-day to one business day is our typical dispatch time from Townsville, QLD; during busy periods it can extend, although that is rare. Australia Post transit time is separate and varies. Tracking is the practical record of the parcel’s progress after dispatch.
