A panic control, not a call centre
Hold the SOS control to trigger the paired HomeBase's alarm and an app notification. eufy's product page says 2 seconds and its device page says 3. It does not call anyone.

The honest details
Before you buy.
- It only sends commands. The keypad does not add a camera, motion sensor or door contact of its own. What it can actually do depends entirely on the devices already paired to your HomeBase.
- The panic control does not include a response service. eufy’s product page says a two-second SOS hold; its older device introduction says three. Follow your unit’s guide and test the configured response. No monitoring or emergency dispatch service is included.
- Indoor use only. eufy states it plainly: no waterproof rating, indoor use only. Mount it inside the entry, not on the porch.
- It alerts. It does not prevent. A keypad controls a configured alarm system. It is one part of home security, not the whole of it.

Does not work with
- Standalone operation. eufy's own manual says to finish setting up a compatible HomeBase before adding the keypad. It has no working alarm function on its own.
- USB-C charging. eufy's own manual specifies a Micro-USB charging port, not USB-C.
- An included emergency-response service. This keypad sale does not include emergency dispatch or a monitoring subscription. Its hardware controls and notifications are separate from any compatible monitoring service you may arrange.

Before you bring it home
The keypad needs a compatible eufy HomeBase and an indoor position. Charge it before pairing, then create access codes and configure the Home, Away and custom modes you intend to use. Set entry and leaving delays in the app; buying the keypad does not include a monitored emergency-response service.
- Set up the HomeBase first. Confirm your compatible HomeBase is working in the eufy Security app and update it to the latest available firmware before adding the keypad.
- Charge the keypad. Use the supplied Micro-USB cable with your own USB power source; eufy does not include a power adapter. The built-in battery is rated up to 6 months per charge.
- Pair it and set your codes. Add the keypad in the eufy Security app, then create access codes of 4 to 8 digits for the people who need them.
- Mount indoors near the entry. Use the supplied adhesive stickers or the mounting screws, indoors near the entry. Test the connection to the HomeBase before you commit to the spot.

Does this keypad work without a HomeBase?
No. eufy's own manual says to finish setting up your HomeBase before adding the keypad, and the product page lists only paired HomeBase models. It has no useful standalone alarm function.
Does the panic button call for help?
No. Holding the SOS control triggers the paired HomeBase's alarm and sends an app notification (eufy's pages say 2 or 3 seconds). It is a local alarm trigger, not a monitoring service.
How many people can have their own code?
Codes are 4 to 8 digits and are set per person in the eufy Security app. The maximum code count is unconfirmed; ask us first if your household needs a specific number.
When will it ship, and what does delivery cost?
