CamGuard Australia, embossed biscuit-tin badge
A small domestic mystery · starring the Indoor Cam C220

The biscuit tin
has witnesses.

Someone’s been into the good biscuits.

eufy Security Indoor Cam C220

A 2K indoor camera that pans around the room, follows movement and lets you check in through the eufy app. A useful little witness for a household full of very confident alibis.

Manufacturer Renewed · Good Condition

Previously used and renewed by the manufacturer. Cosmetic marks may be visible. All standard accessories included; original product packaging is not included. Requires continuous plug-in power and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi; microSD card sold separately.

“I only lifted
the lid.”
Interesting.

The afternoon inventory

Four went in.
Accounts differ.

Check on the lounge, kitchen or pets while you’re away. The C220 gives you an app-connected view of home, without needing a HomeBase to get started.

The dog has offered to audit the crumbs.
A clear conflict of interest.

“They were like that when I got here.”

Illustrated biscuit count only. The camera detects people and motion; it does not count biscuits or assess alibis.

Exhibit A · the detail

Less squinting.
More crumbs.

2K video brings more detail to your indoor view. Check what’s happening on the bench or by the sofa, with image quality still depending on lighting, distance and placement.

That’s a biscuit crumb.
The investigation has peaked.

The whole room has a story

A witness who
can turn around.

Motorised 360° horizontal pan and vertical tilt let you look around from one position. Adjust the view in the app rather than committing to a single fixed angle.

Pan range is movement, not a simultaneous 360° image. Furniture and walls can still block the view.

The pantry requested no photographs.
The pantry was overruled.

Real camera controls are in the eufy app. No cupboard interrogation feature is included.

Statement supplied voluntarily

“I didn’t go near the tin.”

“I didn’t went near the tin.”

“I was checking the lid.”

Motion detection & AI tracking

The story moves.
So does the lens.

On-device detection recognises humans and motion. AI tracking adjusts the camera’s position to help keep a moving subject in view.

Configure notifications in the app for the space you’re watching. Detection and tracking depend on the scene and settings; they are not infallible.

A moving target.
An increasingly stationary excuse.

Two-way audio

“Put one aside
for me.”

Listen and speak through the camera’s microphone and speaker using the app. Check in with someone at home or let the dog hear a familiar voice.

Audio relies on a working connection. Compliance with biscuit-sharing instructions remains a household matter.

The mug has entered the conversation.

The midnight snack has declined to comment.

Infrared night vision

After tea.
After lights-out.

Infrared night vision helps you view the room in darkness. Useful for a late check-in without switching on the kitchen light.

It is infrared viewing, not a promise of full-colour night footage. Keep the lens clear and consider reflections when choosing a position.

The fridge light was an unreliable witness.
It only works with the door open.

Privacy mode

Even a witness
gets time off.

Enable Privacy Mode in the app and the camera turns towards a preset position, then stops recording. Choose when to check in and when to give the room its privacy.

Tea with company?
The camera can mind its own biscuits.

Try the illustrated privacy shutter

This is a page illustration. The real C220 turns to a preset position and stops recording when Privacy Mode is enabled in the app.

No testimony during afternoon tea.

A recipe tin for what actually happened.

Local video storage

Keep the footage.
Skip the monthly fee.

Add a Class 10 microSD card, up to 128 GB, for recording directly on the camera. The card is sold separately. A monthly subscription is not required for local recording or notifications.

Optional cloud services have separate terms. HomeBase 3 is also compatible for storage only; do not expect it to add its advanced AI features to this camera.

The old tin held sewing supplies.
This one has a more relevant filing system.

Before you make room on the bench

The kitchen
requirements.

The C220 needs continuous power and a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. It is an indoor camera, so choose a dry spot near an outlet with a clear view.

Alexa and Google Assistant are supported. Apple HomeKit is not supported by this model.

RENEWEDGOOD CONDITION

A previous chapter.
Clearly disclosed.

This is previously used, manufacturer-renewed stock in Good Condition. Refurbishment and testing are performed under the manufacturer’s renewal programme. Visible cosmetic marks or scuffs may be present.

It is not sold as new or cosmetically pristine. All standard accessories are supplied, but original product packaging is not included. Our own 12-month in-house warranty applies, alongside your Australian Consumer Law rights.

We do not open sealed units and do not claim we tested your individual unit.

A small camera for everyday check-ins

Leave room
for the practical bit.

Plan the power outlet, Wi-Fi connection and local storage before you choose a shelf. A clear view is more useful than squeezing the camera behind the tea caddy.

Mounting location: sensible.
Alibi location: still under discussion.

Set up before the kettle boils over

Three sensible
first steps.

Follow the C220 guide and the in-app prompts. Position the camera where people expect an indoor camera, and let your household know it’s there.

Please face the room.
The back of the flour tin knows very little.

  1. Connect power.

Place the camera near an outlet and connect its USB-C power cable.

  2. Add it in the eufy app.

Follow the prompts to connect to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi.

  3. Choose your settings.

Set the view, recording, notifications and privacy position. Fit a suitable microSD card if using local card storage.

Optional fourth step: make the tea.

Serving suggestion: one sensible indoor viewpoint.

The label on the tin

Useful features.
Real limits.

The C220 records; it does not prevent theft or other incidents. AI detection, tracking, notifications and image detail depend on setup, connection and the scene.

It needs power, network access for connected features, and configured storage for saved footage. Privacy Mode stops recording. Local storage does not mean remote app use works without a network.

No sugar-coating the limitations.
There’s already enough sugar in the evidence.

Questions left on the fridge

Before somebody
changes the subject.

Here are the practical answers. The missing shortbread remains a separate inquiry.

Fridge rule: read the note
before adding your own.

READ ME, PLEASE.
Is it new, or renewed?

It is previously used, manufacturer-renewed stock in Good Condition. All standard accessories are included; original product packaging is not included. Refurbishment and testing are attributed to the manufacturer. Cosmetic wear may be visible; the photos show the model, not the individual unit. Our own 12-month warranty applies, not a manufacturer warranty.

Do I need a HomeBase or subscription?

No HomeBase is required for normal setup. A suitable microSD card supports local recording without a monthly fee. The card is sold separately. HomeBase 3 support is for storage only; optional cloud services have separate terms.

Does it work with HomeKit or 5 GHz Wi-Fi?

No. This model uses 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and does not support Apple HomeKit. It supports Alexa and Google Assistant.

What happens in Privacy Mode?

The camera turns to your preset position and stops recording. You control this in the app. The little shutter on this page is only an illustration.
