The C220 records; it does not prevent theft or other incidents. AI detection, tracking, notifications and image detail depend on setup, connection and the scene.
It needs power, network access for connected features, and configured storage for saved footage. Privacy Mode stops recording. Local storage does not mean remote app use works without a network.
