The eufyCam E40 is an add-on camera. It pairs to a eufy HomeBase 2 or a eufy HomeBase S380 (also sold as HomeBase 3), and it will not record a single frame without one. There is no standalone mode, no Wi-Fi-only mode, no workaround. A HomeBase is not included here and is sold separately.

Second, let's talk about "Renewed"
This camera was used before. It went back through the manufacturer's official renewal process, where it was refurbished and tested by that process before being released for resale. That testing is the manufacturer's — not ours.
This unit is graded Good — the honest middle. Fully functional, with light-to-moderate cosmetic marks on the housing: better than our Fair stock, not as clean as our Excellent stock. The marks are cosmetic only. Mounted under an eave, you'll be looking at footage, not housing.
It arrives in renewed (non-retail) packaging rather than the original retail box, and it's covered by our in-house 12-month CamGuard warranty — a CamGuard warranty, not a manufacturer warranty — on top of your Australian Consumer Law rights.

It requires a HomeBase, and one is not included.
The E40 is an add-on camera. It needs a eufy HomeBase 2 or a eufy HomeBase S380 (HomeBase 3) to operate, both sold separately, and it will not work on its own — no standalone mode, no Wi-Fi-only mode. If you don't already own a compatible HomeBase, buy a kit that includes one instead of this listing.

It was used before, and at Good grade you will see that.
This is a Manufacturer Renewed unit — previously used, then refurbished and tested by the manufacturer's renewal process. Good grade means fully functional with light-to-moderate cosmetic marks on the housing. Cosmetic only, and honestly described. If you want the cleanest cosmetics, our Excellent-grade stock exists for exactly that reason.

It arrives in renewed packaging, not a retail box.

Will it work without a HomeBase?
No. The eufyCam E40 is an add-on camera and requires a eufy HomeBase 2 or a eufy HomeBase S380 (HomeBase 3) to operate. Without one it cannot be set up or used at all, and a HomeBase is not included in this listing. If you don't own one, buy a kit that includes a hub instead. This is the single most important line on the page.
I already have a HomeBase 2. Do I just pair it?
Yes. Make sure your HomeBase 2 firmware is up to date in the eufy Security app, then add the camera as a new device and pair it while the camera is close to the hub. Once paired you can mount it wherever you like.
What about a HomeBase S380 / HomeBase 3?
Also fine — the HomeBase S380 is the same hub that's sold as HomeBase 3, and it's on the list. Update its firmware in the eufy Security app first, then add the camera as a new device.
What exactly does "Manufacturer Renewed" mean?
The unit was previously used, then went through the manufacturer's official renewal process, where it was refurbished and tested by that process before being released for resale. How rough is "Good" grade, honestly?
Light-to-moderate cosmetic marks on the housing — more than our Excellent stock, less than our Fair stock. Fully functional, and the marks are purely cosmetic. It arrives in renewed packaging rather than a retail box. If cosmetics matter to you, our Excellent-grade units of this camera cost a little more and photograph better.
Are there monthly fees?
No subscription is required. Footage is stored locally on your HomeBase rather than in a cloud plan, so recording and playback don't depend on a monthly payment.
How does it see at night?
MaxColour Vision captures full-colour footage in low light, and there are three night-vision modes so you can match it to the spot it's watching. There's also a built-in 150-lumen spotlight if you want the scene lit.
How often will I be charging it?
The 13,000 mAh built-in battery is rated for months of use per charge. Real-world figures depend on how much activity it records and how you have it configured, so treat the rating as a guide rather than a promise.
Will it cope with Australian weather?
It's IP66 weatherproof, which covers rain, dust and outdoor conditions. It isn't rated for submersion, so mount it sensibly and don't aim a pressure washer at it.
