It is a component, not a system
The eufyCam 2C is an add-on camera. It does not join your home Wi-Fi, it does not store anything itself, and it will not record a frame without a hub. eufy's own spec sheet is blunt about the network side:
"Connect to Home Wi-Fi: No. Only to eufy Homebase." (eufy specification sheet, eufyCam 2C)
So the fitment question is not "will it work with my Wi-Fi". It is "which HomeBase am I plugging it into". Per eufy's published compatibility tables:
- HomeBase (original), HomeBase E and HomeBase 2. Listed Yes for all three.
- HomeBase 3 / S380. The 2C (T8113) is listed Compatible for storage and for BionicMind, Modes and Automation. Anyone telling you the 2C is HomeBase 2 only is reading an out of date table.
- eufy Wi-Fi Chime and Wi-Fi Bridge. Listed No. They are not hubs for this camera.
- HomeBase Mini. Not addressed in either of eufy's published compatibility articles, so we are not going to claim it either way. Message us before you buy if that is your hub.
No HomeBase is included in this listing. If you already run one, this is exactly the camera to add to it. If you do not own one yet, buy the hub first, or buy a kit that has one in the carton.

*eufy's own footnote travels with that number every time we print it: 180 day battery life is dependent on several factors including quality settings, alerts and notification frequency. A camera facing a busy footpath works harder than one facing a back fence.
Charges twice a year, on a cable you will have to go and find
A 6700mAh battery, non-replaceable, rated by eufy at up to 180 days from a single charge. Charging takes about five hours from a 5V USB charger. That is two ladder trips a year rather than two a month, which is the entire argument for a battery camera.
The port is Micro-USB. Not USB-C. Nearly every newer eufy battery camera moved to USB-C, this one never did, and a USB-C cable will not fit it no matter how confidently you approach the thing. The Micro-USB cable is supplied in the carton. A wall plug is not, so bring any standard 5V USB charger you already own.
Infrared by default, colour when the spotlight fires
The spotlight is a physical part of the camera, listed in eufy's spec table and sitting on the front of the housing. In low light it lights the area in front of the camera so the picture comes back in colour rather than grey. There is also an infrared setting, which is what runs when the spotlight is off.
Detection is human detection and facial detection. Anti-theft detection is listed as No. Two-way audio is built in, with a microphone and a speaker, so you can talk to whoever is standing at the gate rather than watching them silently.
eufy publishes no lumen figure for this spotlight and no metre figure for its infrared range. Other listings quote one anyway. We are not going to invent a number and then put it on a form.
The footage lives at the hub
Recordings are stored on the HomeBase, not on the camera. On a HomeBase 2 that is 16GB of eMMC, which eufy rates at up to three months of recordings. Storage expansion is listed as not supported on this generation.
Which is worth saying plainly: adding this camera adds a camera, not capacity. Four cameras share the same 16GB that one camera used to have to itself, so the three month figure moves accordingly.
Data encryption is AES-128. There is no mandatory cloud subscription and no monthly fee, so the features you get on day one are the features you keep.

Section 2 itemised the cosmetic advisories. These are the rest, including the ones that belong to the product rather than to this particular unit. Nothing here is a surprise later.

Restated here because it is the line people skim. Someone else owned this camera first. It was refurbished and tested by the manufacturer, then graded Good: light cosmetic marks or scuffs that do not affect function, shipped in renewed packaging rather than the retail box. It is not new stock, and the 12 month warranty on it is ours rather than the manufacturer's. If any of those three things is a problem, stop here, and thanks for actually reading the form.
ADV 6 · FitmentIt does not work on its own, and this is the one that causes refunds
It is an add-on camera. It needs a compatible eufy HomeBase, which is not included, and it never joins your home Wi-Fi. If you were picturing unboxing it and pairing it to the router this afternoon, that is not how this camera works. If you want a camera that runs standalone, ask us and we will point you at a different model instead of selling you this one.
ADV 7 · ChargingMicro-USB, and no plug in the carton
Micro-USB, five hours, 5V charger. Cable supplied, plug not. If your whole house has quietly gone USB-C over the last few years, this camera did not get the memo, and you will want to keep one old cable in the drawer.
ADV 8 · Resolution1080p is the number, and it is not going to become 2K
Max resolution is 1080p HD. If you are shopping on the resolution figure alone, be aware the eufyCam 2C Pro is a different camera (T8142) at 2K. The two spec sheets look almost identical otherwise, so check the T-code, not the marketing.
ADV 9 · StorageNo expansion, and the camera adds none
Storage expansion is listed as not supported on the 2C generation, and this camera has no storage of its own. Everything lands on the hub and shares whatever the hub has.
ADV 10 · DeterrenceNo siren is listed for this camera
eufy's published component list for the 2C runs lens, light sensor, microphone, motion sensor, spotlight, status LED, sync button, mounting hole, charging port, speaker. The speaker is there for two-way audio. If you are shopping for a camera that makes a racket by itself, this one is not it, and we would rather tell you than let you find out at 2am.

eufy Australia lists Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, and Apple HomeKit only if the camera is paired with a eufy HomeBase 2. Do not assume HomeKit carries over on other hubs. If HomeKit is the whole reason you are buying, check your hub first.

eufy Australia's own page for this add-on camera showed it sold out when we checked on 26 July 2026. That is the honest context: this is the camera you buy to extend a 2C system you already own, not the one you build a whole new system around in 2026.

Do you test every unit yourselves?
No, and we are not going to say we do. CamGuard does not bench test individual units. The testing behind a renewed grade belongs to the manufacturer's renewal programme. What we do to every single unit is photograph and log its serial number at dispatch, so your warranty record exists from the day it ships.
How obvious are the marks on a Good grade unit?
Noticeable if you look for them in good light: light scratches, scuffs or marks on the housing. Purely cosmetic, with no effect on function or on the IP67 weatherproofing. If cosmetics matter more than price, our Excellent grade unit of the same camera is the cleaner pick.
Is the charging port USB-C?
No. It is Micro-USB, charged from a 5V USB charger in about five hours. A USB-C cable will not fit this camera. The Micro-USB cable is supplied; the wall plug is not.
Does the camera have a siren?
eufy does not list a siren for the eufyCam 2C. The published component list covers the lens, light sensor, microphone, motion sensor, spotlight, status LED, sync button, mounting hole, charging port and speaker, and the speaker is there for two-way audio. Do not buy this camera expecting the camera itself to make noise.
Does adding this camera give me more recording storage?
No. Recordings live on the HomeBase, not on the camera. A HomeBase 2 carries 16GB of eMMC, which eufy rates at up to three months of recordings, and storage expansion is listed as not supported on this generation. Every camera you add shares that same space.
What about Apple HomeKit?

Is this the same thing as the 2C Pro?
No. This is the eufyCam 2C, model T8113, at 1080p. The eufyCam 2C Pro is model T8142 at 2K. The rest of the two spec sheets look almost identical, which is exactly why the T-code is the thing to check.
How does this compare with buying it new?
eufy Australia's last listed price for this add-on camera was A$229.95, and their page showed it sold out when we checked on 26 July 2026. Renewed is how you add another 2C camera to a system you already own without hunting for new old stock.
How do I make a warranty claim?
