Captain’s call: eufy’s quick-start guide shows mounting 2 to 3 m above ground with a motion-detection zone illustrated up to 10 m. Aim across the expected route, test the real scene before drilling and treat detection as assistance rather than guaranteed identity or capture.

Test live view and motion at the proposed spot. Check signal, path, light, aim and activity zones.
Confirm the substrate and concealed services, choose suitable fixings and keep the charging-port cover closed outdoors.
Verify clips, notifications, night mode, audio, HomeBase storage and battery behaviour in real conditions.
Outdoor note: the camera is rated IP67 for correct installation and a completely closed charging port. It is weather-resistant equipment, not something to immerse.

Recordings live on the HomeBase. The camera adds no storage and this generation does not support storage expansion.
No mandatory cloud subscription is required. HomeBase storage capacity and retention still depend on the hub and activity.

Can it play without a HomeBase?
No. This add-on eufyCam requires a compatible HomeBase for connection and clip storage. It does not pair directly to ordinary household Wi-Fi.
Is a HomeBase in the kit bag?
No. HomeBase, HomeBase E, HomeBase 2, HomeBase 3 and any other hub are separate products. Only the listed camera accessories are included.
What does Manufacturer Renewed Good mean?
The camera was previously used, returned through the manufacturer’s official renewal programme, refurbished and tested there, confirmed working and graded before resale. Good means light scratches, scuffs or marks may be visible but do not affect function.
Do CamGuard staff bench-test every individual camera?
No. The refurbishment and functional testing behind the renewed grade belong to the manufacturer’s programme. CamGuard describes the grade and provides its own warranty without claiming a second individual bench test.
Does it come in the original retail box?
No. Manufacturer Renewed stock is supplied in plain protective renewed packaging. The original retail box is not included.
Is this the 2K eufyCam 2C Pro?
No. This is eufyCam 2C model T8113 with a published maximum resolution of 1080p HD. eufyCam 2C Pro is model T8142 at 2K.
Does it record continuously or to onboard microSD?
No. Recordings live on the compatible HomeBase. The camera has no onboard archive, this generation does not support storage expansion and it does not provide continuous 24/7 recording.
Does it charge by USB-C?
No. It uses Micro-USB. A matching cable is included, but a suitable standard 5V USB wall adapter is not.
Will the battery always last 180 days?
No. It is an up-to manufacturer rating. Motion, live view, spotlight use, signal, temperature, settings, battery condition and other factors change actual battery life.
Does the camera itself have a siren?
eufy does not list a siren or anti-theft alarm for the eufyCam 2C. Its speaker supports two-way audio; do not buy it expecting the camera itself to sound an alarm.
Can I buy or backorder this unit now?
No. The refreshed Shopify source records zero sellable inventory with overselling denied. The page remains a product reference and makes no dispatch, waitlist or backorder promise while stock is zero.
Is the 12-month warranty from eufy?
