Track It!
Built-in AI recognises human, vehicle and motion events and can automatically follow movement within view. Classification depends on scene, distance and setup.
Turn It!
The head pans and tilts to provide full 360° coverage by rotation. The lens sees 130° at any one moment; it turns to cover the rest.
Light It!
A 250-lumen spotlight and infrared night vision handle low-light scenes. Red-and-blue strobe lights and the siren can be configured as visible and audible deterrent tools.
Save It!
Add a microSD card up to 128 GB for local event storage. The card is sold separately; core camera operation and local storage do not require a monthly subscription.

Morning charge begins
Direct sun reaches the solar panel. Under eufy's optimal-use assumption, two hours of direct sunlight daily can maintain the charge.
A vehicle enters the drive
Vehicle detection identifies the event and automatic tracking can keep movement centred while it remains within the camera's operating view.
The courier completes a speed run
A phone notification can arrive through the eufy app. Two-way audio is available if the parcel hand-off develops dialogue.
Movement after dark
The spotlight, red-and-blue strobe lights and siren can be configured for relevant motion events. They are deterrent features, not emergency services.
Nothing happens
The camera does not charge you a monthly fee for the quiet. Local event clips remain on your separately purchased microSD card.

SolarPlus 2.0 reduces routine charging when the panel receives useful direct sun. Shade, heavy use, weather and settings can change the result.

That is an operating assumption, not a promise for every wall, season or detection workload. Deep shade means occasional USB charging or a better solar-panel position.
- Charge before playFully charge the E42 by USB-C before first installation. Solar is the ongoing top-up, not a reason to hang an empty battery on the wall.
- Give the panel real sunPlace the solar panel where it receives direct sunlight rather than bright-looking shade beneath an eave.
- Check the network at the wallThe official guide specifies 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Confirm strong signal and smooth live view at the mounting point before drilling.
- Mount for detectioneufy recommends roughly 2 to 3 metres high and angled towards the monitoring area rather than facing it dead-on.
Installation joke with a serious ending: the panel gets the sun; the camera gets the driveway; the ladder gets a competent adult.

Do I need a HomeBase?
No. The SoloCam E42 can connect directly to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi router and record events to a microSD card up to 128 GB. HomeBase 2 and HomeBase 3 are optional, sold separately and not included in this box.
Can it record continuously, 24 hours a day?
Not in the ordinary solar/battery standalone setup. eufy's current specification says continuous 24/7 recording requires wired power and HomeBase 3 with a compatible hard drive installed. Standalone solar use is designed around event recording.
What does local recording cost each month?
There is no required monthly subscription for core operation or local microSD recording. You supply the microSD card. Optional cloud or third-party services, if chosen, can have their own terms and charges.
Does 360° mean the lens sees every direction simultaneously?
No. The lens has a 130° field of view. The pan-and-tilt head rotates to provide full 360° coverage, including automatic movement tracking, but the lens is not looking everywhere at once.
Does it work with smart-home platforms?
eufy's current Australian product specification lists Apple Home (HomeKit) support when paired to a eufy HomeBase 3 — not standalone — plus Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant support. Availability and exact behaviour can depend on region, app, firmware, account and companion equipment. Confirm an essential integration before purchase.
What arrives in this factory-sealed box?

Do the siren and strobe promise a particular outcome?
No outcome is promised. They are visible and audible deterrent tools that can activate for configured motion events. A camera records, alerts and lets you respond; it does not replace suitable locks, lighting, access control, insurance or emergency services.
When will CamGuard Australia send it?
We do our best to dispatch the same day. Same-day to one business day is typical, with occasional extension during unusually busy periods. It leaves from Townsville, Queensland, and Australia Post Express is included because this item is over $99.00.
