2K at the door
The 2K camera with an f/1.6 lens doubles as a video doorbell, so you see who is at the door from the app.
Storage built in
8 GB of eMMC storage is built into the lock itself. No subscription and no card to buy, and a HomeBase 3 is an optional way to add more space later.
Built for the weather
The exterior camera assembly carries an IP65 rating and eufy publishes an operating range of -30°C to 70°C, with a BHMA-certified deadbolt behind it.
The honest details
Before you buy.
- We could not confirm the night vision type. eufy's own E330 pages we could read did not give a verbatim night-vision spec. Until we find that line we are not claiming colour night vision, a spotlight, or infra-red only.
- No free chime in this package. T8531 ships without an indoor chime. A chime-included version is sold under a different model, E8531.
- Not compatible with storm doors. eufy's own user guide says a storm door can obstruct the camera view. This is not a storm-door installation.
- It records and unlocks. It does not guard the house. A camera and lock combination is one layer of home security, not the whole of it.
Make sure it fits your setup.
The short version: it works on its own over Wi-Fi. A HomeBase is optional, never required.

- Direct Wi-Fi, standalone. The E330 connects straight to your home Wi-Fi. Unlock methods, the camera and the 8 GB of built-in storage all work without any hub.
- HomeBase 3, optional. eufy states pairing adds local storage expandable up to 16 TB. Not included and not required.
- HomeBase Mini and HomeBase Professional S1, optional. eufy added the E330 to the HomeBase Mini's list in its August 2026 compatibility guide, and its S1 device list carries T8531, this lock's own model number.
- eufy Security app, Alexa and Google Voice Assistant. eufy lists the app plus Alexa or Google Voice Assistant among the five ways to unlock.
Does not work with
- Apple HomeKit, Matter and IFTTT. eufy's own product page for this model states it is not compatible with these services.
- A free indoor chime. The E330 (T8531) ships with no chime. eufy's own comparison article marks the E330 "Free Chime: No" against "Yes" for the S330. A chime-included version is sold as a separate package (E8531).
- Storm doors. eufy's own user guide states this model is not compatible with storm doors, which can block the camera.
- HomeBase 2. eufy's compatibility guide rejects HomeBase 2 for T8531.

What you need
Before you bring it home
The E330 combines a lock, camera and doorbell and connects directly to Wi-Fi without a HomeBase. Charge its removable battery and measure the door before fitting it. A storm door can block the camera. Do not assume the standalone lock includes the chime sold with a separate package.
Recording and storage
Recordings live inside the lock
The E330 has 8 GB of built-in eMMC for local recordings without a required subscription. Optional HomeBase 3 pairing provides expandable storage, with a separate compatible drive needed for expansion. Local storage does not mean nothing ever uses the cloud: eufy notes temporary uploads for notification thumbnails.
- Measure the door first. Check door thickness (35 to 55 mm), crossbore (38 or 54 mm) and backset (60 or 70 mm) against eufy's published figures before you buy or install.
- Charge the battery fully. eufy recommends a full first charge of the 10,000 mAh battery, taking up to 6 to 8 hours, ideally from a 5 V / 2 A source.
- Install the hardware. Follow eufy's own E330 installation guide for the exterior and interior assemblies, deadbolt and strike plate.
- Add it in the eufy Security app. Scan the QR code in the battery compartment, or enter the serial number starting T8531, then enrol fingerprints, codes and test the lock before you rely on it.

Do I need a HomeBase or a subscription to use it?
No to both. The E330 works on its own over direct Wi-Fi and saves clips to its built-in 8 GB. HomeBase 3 is an optional add-on eufy says adds storage up to 16 TB, and it is not included. There is no monthly fee.
Does this version come with a chime?
No. This is the T8531 model, which eufy's own comparison article marks "Free Chime: No". A chime-included version is sold under a different model number, E8531.
What if my door has a storm or security screen door?
Check first. eufy's own user guide says the E330 is not compatible with storm doors because they can block the camera's view.
