eufy Security SoloCam E30 Wireless Camera | Brand New
It turns toward whatever moves.
Like a sunflower, but nosy. A solar-fed 360° camera that pans to follow motion on its own — no wiring, no monthly fees.
Everything worth knowing, at a glance
Built to watch a whole yard from one spot
A full circle of view
360° pan and 70° tilt from a single mount. Point it at the driveway, the side gate, the back deck — it swings across the lot instead of staring at one fixed spot.
It follows the movement
Spot motion and the camera pans to keep it in frame — the same way a sunflower leans toward the light. Hands-off once it's set up.
Fed by the sun
A removable solar panel tops up the battery through the day. Give it a few hours of good Aussie sun and you may never reach for the charger again.
Clear after dark
2K resolution with a bright f/1.6 aperture, so the after-dark view stays legible rather than a smear of grey.
No hub needed to start
Connects straight to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and records to a microSD card. Add a HomeBase later if you want — totally optional (more below).
Your footage, your place
Recordings live on your microSD card or HomeBase, on your property — not parked on a subscription cloud. No monthly fee to see your own clips.
Plant it once. Point it at the sun. Let it keep an eye on the yard.
Solar in, footage local, nothing owing at the end of the month. The honest bit — read before you plant it
The solar panel wants roughly a couple of hours of direct daylight a day to stay topped up. Deep shade under a full eave or a south-facing wall in winter may mean the odd USB-C charge — worth a thought before you pick the spot.
It takes a card up to 128GB (sold separately — you've probably got a spare in a drawer). Or record to a HomeBase instead. Either way, nothing to record onto until you add one.
Like most outdoor cameras, it joins the 2.4GHz band (better range through walls anyway) — not 5GHz. Most routers broadcast both.
Works with the eufy Security app, plus Alexa and Google. If HomeKit is a dealbreaker, this isn't your camera.
On its own it does motion detection and tracking. Familiar-face, vehicle and pet recognition (eufy's BionicMind) only switch on when it's paired to a HomeBase 3 (S380).

🌻 Perfect for you if…
- You've got a sunny fence line, eave or driveway to cover
- You rent, or just don't want to run cables and drill into brick
- One wide, panning view beats bolting up three fixed cameras
- You're allergic to monthly subscription fees
- You like the idea of a camera you can basically forget about
🥀 Maybe not, if…
- The only mounting spot sits in permanent deep shade (and you won't top it up by USB-C)
- You need continuous 24/7 recording rather than motion-triggered clips
- Apple HomeKit is a must-have in your setup
- Your Wi-Fi doesn't reach that corner of the property at all

The questions we actually get asked
Does it really work with a HomeBase 2, or only HomeBase 3?
Both. The SoloCam E30 pairs with HomeBase 2 (S280) and HomeBase 3 (S380) for local storage. The difference: HomeBase 3 also unlocks the BionicMind AI (familiar faces, vehicles, pets). HomeBase 2 gives you the storage without those AI extras.
Do I even need a HomeBase?
Nope. It runs on its own over Wi-Fi and records to a microSD card. A HomeBase is an optional upgrade, not a requirement.
Is a memory card included?
It isn't — it takes a microSD card up to 128GB, sold separately. Or skip the card and record to a HomeBase instead.
Will the solar keep it charged in an Aussie winter?
In a reasonably sunny spot, generally yes — it wants a couple of hours of direct daylight a day. Heavy shade or a dim corner may need the occasional USB-C top-up.
Are there monthly fees?
None. Local recording, no subscription. An optional eufy cloud plan exists if you ever want it, but nothing's required.
What condition is it, and who backs the warranty?
Brand new and factory sealed. It's covered by our 12-month CamGuard in-house warranty (not a manufacturer warranty), plus your Australian Consumer Law rights.
