AFTER DARK, IT GOES MONOCHROME.
There is no secret colour-night mode hiding in a menu. SoloCam E30 uses infrared black-and-white night vision and has no built-in spotlight.
You want discreet infrared observation without a bright light switching on.
Colour footage after dark or an integrated deterrent spotlight is essential.
The camera can turn through 360° but does not record every direction simultaneously.
Two-way audio is available through the eufy Security app.

Does SoloCam E30 need a HomeBase?
No. It can connect directly to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. Add a microSD card up to 128GB for local event recording. Compatible hubs include HomeBase 2, HomeBase 3, HomeBase Professional S1 and HomeBase Mini (firmware updates may be required).
Will it record without a card or HomeBase?
No footage is saved without supported storage. Live view can still work, but SoloCam E30 has no built-in recording storage. A microSD card or compatible HomeBase is sold separately.
Can it record continuously, 24/7?
eufy says 24/7 recording with four-second pre-roll requires continuous direct power using its sold-separately power cable, plus supported recording storage. Normal battery and solar operation is designed for event recording.
Will the solar panel keep it charged forever?
Do not treat that as a guarantee. eufy's battery estimate is about three months at roughly 300 seconds of daily recording, and its solar claim assumes around two hours of useful sun each day. Activity, shade, weather and settings change the outcome.
Does it show colour at night?
No. It uses infrared black-and-white night vision and has no built-in spotlight. Choose another model if colour footage after dark is essential.
Does 360° mean every direction at once?
No. The motor can turn the camera to face any direction around its mounting point, but it records the view it is facing at that moment. Tracking can follow detected people or vehicles.
