New · Sealed · Box Damaged eufy Smart Lock C220 Fingerprint Deadbolt
New & Unused — Sealed, Minor Box Damage

Your prints are on the list.

The eufy Smart Lock C220 is a fingerprint deadbolt with a door policy: touch the reader, it checks the list, the rope comes down. eufy rates recognition at under 0.3 seconds — about as long as it takes a good door person to glance at a name and nod you through. And if you’re not on the list, there are still five other ways in, all of them yours.

This one got knocked about on the way in. The carton has a minor dent / indent at the top — the factory seal is intact and the lock inside is new and never used. The cardboard took the hit, not the hardware.

  • New, never used — seal unbroken, outer box dented at the top
  • Fingerprint deadbolt — 50 fingerprints, recognised in under 0.3 s
  • Six ways in: fingerprint, keypad, eufy Security app, physical key, Apple Watch, voice
  • Built-in Wi-Fi — no bridge or hub required
  • 8 AA batteries included, plus a USB-C emergency power port underneath
  • Fits doors 35–55 mm thick — measure yours before you order

Minor indent — top of carton
Incident
The outer retail carton has picked up a minor dent / indent at the top in handling. Cosmetic damage to cardboard only.
Seal status
Factory seal intact. The box has not been opened by us — what eufy packed is still packed.
The lock
New and never used. Sealed inside, so it has never been fitted, powered up, enrolled or handled.
Contents
Complete — nothing removed. Exactly the retail pack eufy shipped, including the batteries and keys.
Why it’s listed
We list a knocked carton as box damaged rather than pretend it isn’t there. If the box matters to you — gifting it, reselling it — buy a clean one instead. If the box goes in the recycling on day one, this is the same lock.
Not affected
Your 12-month CamGuard warranty, your Australian Consumer Law rights and the 30-day change-of-mind window all apply exactly as normal.

The dent is on the top of the carton and does not reach the lock inside. Want to see it before you commit? Message us and we’ll send a photo of this exact box.

The Guest List

Checked at the rope · page 1 of 1
Your thumb
The C220 stores up to 50 fingerprints and eufy rates recognition at under 0.3 seconds. Enrol once and your hand is the credential — nothing to carry, nothing to lose down the back of the couch.
A code for the night
Up to 100 passcodes on the keypad, and eufy includes a scramble passcode function — you can pad your real code with random digits so anyone watching over your shoulder learns nothing useful.
The app, the watch, the voice
Wi-Fi is built into the lock — eufy states no bridge is required — so the eufy Security app can lock and unlock from anywhere with a signal. eufy also lists Apple Watch and voice control through Alexa and Google among the C220’s six unlock methods.
Two keys in the envelope
eufy supplies 2 physical keys with the C220. Worth knowing: eufy states the keys can be copied but the lock cannot be rekeyed. If you want the option to rekey later, this isn’t the lock for that.
It closes the door behind you
eufy lists auto-lock with scheduling and a one-touch locking function, plus adjustable lock sound volume in the app for anyone who’d rather the door didn’t announce every arrival.

Built for an Australian front door

eufy rates the C220 ANSI/BHMA Grade 3 and IP53, and rates the exterior lock for −30 °C to 70 °C. It runs on 8 AA batteries, which eufy includes, and there’s a USB-C port on the bottom of the exterior lock for emergency power if they ever run flat while you’re out. eufy also lists the C220 as working with its video doorbells.

Door Policy — the honest bit

Management reserves the right to tell you the catch before you pay, not after.

  • 1
The box is dented. We’re listing it that way on purpose. The outer retail carton has a minor dent / indent at the top, picked up in handling. The factory seal is intact, the lock inside is new and never used, and nothing has been removed from the pack. We won’t call a knocked carton “brand new” — it’s New, box damaged, and it is priced accordingly. If the packaging matters to you, buy a clean one instead.
  • 2
Measure your door first. eufy specifies a door thickness of 35 mm to 55 mm for the C220. eufy does not publish a backset or bore-hole figure on its C220 product pages, so check your door against the fitting dimensions in eufy’s own spec sheet or the C220 (T8506) user guide before you commit. A smart lock is a fitted product — five minutes with a tape measure saves a return.
  • 3
No Apple HomeKit, no Matter, no IFTTT. eufy states plainly that the C220 is not compatible with Apple HomeKit, IFTTT or Matter. Alexa and Google voice control are supported. If your house is built on HomeKit automations, this lock will sit outside them.
  • 4
eufy’s own battery figures don’t agree with each other. eufy’s product pages quote around 8 months on the 8 AA batteries. eufy’s own support article for the C220 quotes up to four months when the lock is used roughly 10 times a day via the keypad or app. Both are estimates and both depend entirely on traffic and temperature — so treat any battery figure as a ballpark, not a promise.
  • 5
The keys can be copied, but the lock cannot be rekeyed. That is eufy’s statement, not ours. It matters most for rentals and share houses where a lock is normally rekeyed between tenants — here you’d be managing access through fingerprints and codes instead.
  • 6
The USB-C port is emergency power, not a charger. eufy describes it as a charging port on the bottom of the exterior lock for when the batteries die. It is there so you are never locked out by flat AAs — the C220 is not a rechargeable lock.
  • 7
IP53 is a splash rating, not a storm rating. eufy rates the C220 IP53. That covers dust and light water spray. Any smart lock is happier on a door with some cover over it than one taking horizontal rain in a wet season.
  • 8
Wi-Fi has to actually reach the front door. Fingerprint, keypad and key all work with no network at all. The app, remote unlock and notifications don’t. If your front door is a known dead spot, fix the signal before you fit the lock.
  • 9
Renting? Ask first. Changing the front-door lock on a rental generally needs the owner’s or agent’s written say-so, and you’ll want the original deadbolt kept safe for the end of the lease.

Who gets in

On The List

Doors 35–55 mm thick with a standard deadbolt cut-out. That’s the range eufy publishes for the C220.

On The List

Alexa and Google households. Both are listed by eufy among the C220’s unlock methods.

On The List

Apple Watch wearers. eufy lists the Apple Watch as one of the six ways to unlock.

On The List

eufy video doorbell owners. eufy lists the C220 as working with its doorbells.

Not On The List

Apple HomeKit, Matter and IFTTT setups. eufy states the C220 is not compatible with any of the three.

Not On The List

Doors outside 35–55 mm, sliding doors, and security screens. The C220 is a deadbolt for a conventional hinged door.

See The Door

Backset and bore hole. eufy doesn’t publish these on its C220 product pages — measure your door and check it against eufy’s spec sheet or the T8506 user guide before ordering.

See The Door

Weak Wi-Fi at the entry. Fingerprint, keypad and key keep working offline. Remote unlock and app notifications need a signal at the door.

See The Door

Rental properties. Changing a front-door lock usually needs the owner’s or agent’s permission, and the original deadbolt should be kept for the end of the lease.

Probably not for you if…

  • It’s a gift, or the packaging needs to look perfect. This carton has a dent in the top.
  • Your door is thinner than 35 mm or thicker than 55 mm.
  • Your smart home runs on Apple HomeKit, Matter or IFTTT.
  • You need the ability to rekey the cylinder later — eufy says the C220 can’t be rekeyed.
  • You want a lever handle rather than a deadbolt.
  • You were hoping for a rechargeable lock. The USB-C port is for emergency power.
  • You need a guaranteed battery figure — eufy’s own numbers vary from four to eight months.

Perfect for

A
Anyone whose box goes straight in the recycling. Same new, sealed, unused lock — the dent is in the packaging you were throwing out anyway.
B
Households sick of key handovers. Fifty fingerprints and a hundred codes covers a family and everyone who visits it.
C
Short-stay and changeover hosts who’d rather issue a code than meet someone at the door with a key.
D
Anyone replacing a plain deadbolt on a standard hinged front door within eufy’s 35–55 mm range.
E
People who don’t want another hub. Wi-Fi is built in — no bridge to buy, power or hide.
F
Alexa or Google homes, and Apple Watch wearers who want the door on the wrist.
G
Existing eufy doorbell owners — eufy lists the C220 as working alongside its doorbells.

Getting on the list

1

Measure the door

Thickness must be 35–55 mm. Check your backset and bore against eufy’s spec sheet before anything comes off the door.

2

Swap the deadbolt

Old deadbolt out, C220 exterior and interior assemblies on, latch through the edge bore. Keep the old one for the lease file.

3

Load the AAs

Eight AA batteries are supplied. eufy calls out checking the polarity marks in its own troubleshooting notes — worth a glance.

4

Write the list

Add the lock in the eufy Security app, enrol fingerprints, set your codes, then link Alexa or Google if you use them.

Straight up: eufy doesn’t publish a complete itemised pack list for the C220, so we’re only naming what eufy itself states is supplied. The box is sealed exactly as it left eufy — the dent in the top is the one thing that isn’t. If a specific accessory decides the purchase for you, ask us before you buy and we’ll tell you what we can actually confirm.

This is our own in-house warranty, provided by CamGuard Australia. It is not a eufy or Anker manufacturer warranty, and it sits alongside — never instead of — your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If the lock is faulty or not as described within 12 months, get in touch and CamGuard covers the return postage. We’ll ask you for the serial number on your unit so we can process the claim.

Fair both ways: 30 days from delivery to change your mind, you cover the postage back to us, and the shipping you originally paid isn’t refunded. Because a smart lock is a fitted product, please measure the door before you fit it. The box damage is disclosed up front, so it isn’t a fault — but if you open it and change your mind about the packaging, the 30-day change-of-mind window still covers you on those terms.

Questions, answered straight

So what’s actually wrong with it?
The box. The carton has a minor dent / indent at the top from handling. The factory seal is intact and the lock inside is new and never used. We list it as New — box damaged rather than “brand new”, because the packaging isn’t perfect and we’re not going to pretend it is.
How bad is the dent — and can I see it?
It’s cosmetic damage to cardboard: a dent / indent in the top of the carton, not a crushed or torn-open box. Message us before you buy and we’ll send you a photo of the actual box so there are no surprises when it lands.
Could the lock inside be damaged too?
The seal has never been broken, so the lock is exactly as eufy packed it — and we can’t see through the cardboard any more than you can. It’s a dent in a box, not a drop test. If anything is wrong when you open it, that’s a fault: tell us inside 12 months and we cover the return postage, on top of your Australian Consumer Law rights.
Do I need a hub, bridge or HomeBase?
No. eufy states the C220 has built-in Wi-Fi and needs no bridge. It joins your network on its own.
Will it fit my front door?
eufy publishes a 35–55 mm door thickness range for the C220. It doesn’t publish a backset or bore figure on its product pages — so measure your door and check it against eufy’s spec sheet or the T8506 user guide before you order. We’d rather you ask than guess.
How long do the batteries last?
eufy quotes around 8 months on its product pages, but its own support article says up to four months at about 10 uses a day. Both are estimates — treat them as a range, not a promise. They’re ordinary AAs, so replacements are a supermarket item.
What if the batteries die while I’m out?
There’s a USB-C port on the bottom of the exterior lock for emergency power, and eufy supplies 2 physical keys. Keep one in the car and it’s a non-event.
Does it work with Apple Home?
The eufy Security app runs on iPhone, so your phone is fine. But eufy states the C220 is not compatible with Apple HomeKit, Matter or IFTTT. Alexa and Google are supported, and eufy also lists Apple Watch as an unlock method.
Can someone watch me type my code?
eufy includes a scramble passcode function, so you can surround your real code with random digits on the keypad. It’s a sensible habit on any front door with a footpath near it.
Can a locksmith rekey it for me later?
eufy states the keys can be copied but the lock cannot be rekeyed. Worth knowing up front, especially for rentals — you’d manage access through fingerprints and codes instead.
Who do I chase if it plays up?
Us. CamGuard Australia backs it with our own 12-month in-house warranty — not a manufacturer warranty — on top of your Australian Consumer Law rights. Faulty or not as described inside 12 months and we cover the return postage.
