What you need
A power point, Wi-Fi and a clear view
The E220 is an indoor plug-in camera using a 5 V, 2 A supply and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. It does not require a HomeBase. A USB power cable, compatible Australian power adapter, mount, screws, wall anchors and printed instruction manual are included. Apple HomeKit is supported, with video limited to 1080p on that route.
Recording and storage
Card, cloud or NAS
Use a Class 10 microSD card up to 128 GB for local event or continuous recording. The card is separate. Optional cloud storage and compatible NAS storage through RTSP provide other routes. Local recording needs no monthly subscription; cloud services and the equipment for NAS storage are separate choices.
Power and connection
Power loss stops this camera
This is a continuously powered camera. eufy says its wired indoor, outdoor and floodlight cameras shut down during a power outage, cannot detect motion or record events, and start again when power returns. That guidance does not establish what every feature does during a Wi-Fi-only or internet-only outage.
- Check the instructions. Read the model-specific guide and confirm your power and storage before installation.
- Test the chosen position. Complete setup and check the view, connection and recording before final mounting.

Is a Good-grade unit worse at its job than a new one?
No. The grade describes the housing, not the electronics. A renewed unit runs the same published spec sheet. The difference is cosmetic marks and the plain packaging it ships in.
Can it go outside?
No. The E220 is for indoor use and is not weatherproof.
Does HomeKit show 2K?
No. HomeKit is limited to 1080p; use the eufy app for 2K.
What should I check about privacy mode?
Official pages conflict. Confirm behaviour on the supplied unit and current app; disconnecting power is the unambiguous privacy option.
When will it ship, and what does delivery cost?

The motor makes a sound
A brief mechanical whirr while it pans, tilts or moves into Privacy Mode is normal according to eufy. Consider that before placing it in a very quiet sleeping space.
Privacy Mode is not a shutter
It is an app-controlled movement and recording state. eufy’s own materials are not perfectly consistent about the feature, so unplugging remains the unambiguous privacy option.
Pet detection is not a tracking promise
Pet detection is listed. For automatic head tracking, eufy’s conservative comparison specification says human only.
Not a baby monitor
Crying detection can provide a general alert, but there is no dedicated parent unit or infant-monitor interface. This is an indoor security camera.

Do I need a HomeBase, subscription or cloud plan?

Can it automatically track a pet?
Do not buy it on that promise. Pet detection is listed, but eufy’s conservative specification says AI tracking is human only.
