Where: On a shelf or table, or on a wall or ceiling with the mounting plate. The positioning sticker marks the screw holes.
Keep clear: At least 20 cm from walls and objects, so infrared reflections don’t spoil night vision.
Power: USB-C, plugged in all the time; no battery. In a power cut it stops, then restarts when power returns.

Is an Excellent-grade unit worse at its job than a new one?

No. The grade describes the housing, not the electronics. A renewed unit runs the same published spec sheet; the cosmetics and packaging are what differ.

Do I need a HomeBase or a subscription?

No to both. It records to a microSD card (sold separately), with no monthly fee for local recording. HomeBase 3, HomeBase Mini or Professional S1 are optional; HomeBase 2 won’t run it.

What does Privacy Mode actually do?

The camera turns to face a wall, or a resting position you choose in the app, then turns off and stops recording. Switch Privacy Mode off when you want it watching again.

When will my order leave Townsville?

Does 360° mean it sees every direction at once?

No. The camera turns to look around; it is not a simultaneous panoramic feed. Furniture can still block its view, so place it with a clear outlook.

Enable privacy mode and the camera turns towards your chosen position, then stops recording. Point it at a wall. Check the camera's actual privacy state.

Australia Post Express is included on orders of $99 or more after discounts. Below $99.00, tracked Standard shipping is $9.95, or choose Express for $12.95. The Express upgrade replaces the Standard charge.

Do I need to buy a HomeBase?

No. Use the C220 with the app and a compatible microSD card for local recording. The card is sold separately. HomeBase 3 is optional and adds storage functionality only. eufy's current compatibility guide (August 2026) lists the HomeBase Mini for this exact C220 model. Update the Mini's firmware before pairing.

Will it identify my dog as a pet?

We are not promising pet-specific recognition on the C220. It offers human and motion detection with AI tracking. You can use the live view to check on pets, but the safari illustrations are not a list of AI classifications.

Can I connect it to Apple Home?

No, this model does not support HomeKit. eufy lists support for Alexa and Google Assistant smart displays. Check the ecosystem you actually use before choosing a camera.

Does privacy mode just turn the lens?

It turns the camera towards the position you set, then stops recording. Disable privacy mode when you want the camera to resume monitoring.

What does Manufacturer Renewed, Excellent mean?

A previously used camera professionally refurbished and tested through eufy’s renewal programme, with an Excellent cosmetic grade. Minor signs of use may remain. All standard accessories are supplied; original product packaging is not included. We do not claim to have tested your individual unit. Our own 12-month warranty applies, not a manufacturer warranty.

How soon does it leave Townsville?
