Solar method statement
- Choose a mounting point where the integrated SolarPlus 2.0 panel gets useful direct sunlight.
- eufy’s typical-use scenario uses about one hour of ideal direct sun per day.
- The 13,000 mAh rechargeable battery is rated up to 365 days, with activity, settings, temperature and sunlight affecting the result.
- Use USB-C to top up when shade or weather reduces solar input.
- An external solar panel is separate and not included. The procurement officer has checked the tray twice.
*Ideal sunlight means clear, useful exposure. Under an eave beside a thriving fern is not a solar strategy, it is a workplace anecdote.
Night-shift permit · colour work after hours
More low-light colour. No claim that midnight clocked off.
Permit conditions
MaxColor Vision combines the large sensor, bright lens and processing to preserve more colour when low-light conditions allow.
Spotlight mode adds visible light, while infrared offers another night option. Ambient light, placement and settings affect results. The side passage does not become a television studio because somebody taped a permit to it.
The camera records events, it does not prevent them. Spotlight and siren are active deterrence tools, not guarantees about what another person will do.
Exclusion zone · fixed-angle work area
Mark the 135° area before drilling.
Broad view, fixed mount
The S3 Pro covers a 135° overall fixed field of view. It does not pan and tilt, so use live view to frame the drive, gate or side path before tightening the mount.
Reduce unnecessary road, sky and moving foliage where practical. The public footpath does not need to be inducted into every clip, and the palm tree has already exceeded its allotted hours.
Dimensions are about 69 × 82.4 × 143.5 mm, with a weight around 534 g. Use suitable fixings for the mounting surface.
Incident board · movement gets logged, not mythologised
Radar plus PIR does the pre-screen.
Detection is marketed to 40 feet, about 12 metres. Angle, target, weather and settings alter actual range.
Radar and passive infrared combine sensing methods. Neither accepts “looked a bit crook” as technical evidence.
Zones and sensitivity help focus events on the work area instead of every vehicle using the road.
Spotlight and siren actions are available. Use the tools proportionately; the gecko is not a reportable incident.

Full-duplex. The “over” button has been made redundant.
Dual microphones and noise reduction help carry clearer speech from the mounting point.

The base holds the records.
The camera has no onboard or microSD recording storage. It sends event footage to a supported HomeBase.
HomeBase 3 includes 16GB eMMC and supports a suitable drive up to 16TB. HomeBase Professional S1 is also a supported base, but its storage details should be read separately rather than copied from another filing cabinet.
Normal battery and solar operation is event-based. Continuous 24/7 recording requires suitable wired power and a supported setup. A top-mounted solar panel is not mains power wearing hi-vis.

Can the camera work without a HomeBase?
No. It requires HomeBase 3 (S380) or HomeBase Professional S1 (T9000), sold separately. HomeBase 2 and HomeBase Mini are unsupported. Without a compatible base, the add-on camera cannot operate.
Does one hour of sun guarantee endless power?
No. About one hour of ideal direct sun per day is eufy’s typical-use scenario. Activity, settings, temperature, shade and weather affect endurance. USB-C top-up is available if the solar roster falls short.
Is solar operation continuous 24/7?
No. Normal battery and solar operation is event-based. Continuous 24/7 recording requires suitable wired power and a supported setup. The integrated panel has not been licensed as a power station.
Where is video stored?
At the supported HomeBase. The camera has no onboard or microSD recording storage. HomeBase 3 includes 16GB eMMC and supports a suitable drive up to 16TB; check the separate specifications for the base you use.
What does Brand New mean?
Factory-sealed in full original retail packaging. We do not open sealed units and do not claim we tested your individual unit. You receive the manufacturer-packaged camera and listed accessories.
