Fill the bay.
A 1 TB, 2.5-inch SATA hard drive for the eufy HomeBase 3 (S380). It goes inside the hub, on the drive bracket under the lid, and gives your cameras a terabyte to record to on top of the hub’s own 16 GB. Local storage, no monthly fee.
- Sealed in its anti-static bag
- 12-month CamGuard warranty
- Sent from Townsville
- 1 TB
- 1,000 GB of room for recordings
- 2.5″
- SATA, 5 V: what the HomeBase 3 bay takes
- 1 hub
- Fits the HomeBase 3 (S380) only

Fitting, on eufy’s steps
Lid off. Drive in.
Scroll through the four steps from eufy’s own HomeBase 3 support guide. The screws come from your HomeBase 3, not from our bag.

-
01
Power off
Switch the HomeBase 3 off first. eufy says the hub must be off before the drive goes in.
-
02
Lid off, bracket out
Push down on the top lid to remove it, loosen the screw and pull out the drive bracket.
-
03
Drive on, bracket in
Fix the drive to the bracket with the screws from your HomeBase 3, screw the bracket back in and refit the lid.
-
04
On, then format
Switch on and format the drive once in the eufy app. It starts storing recordings after that first format.

The bag holds the drive only. Lost your HomeBase 3’s screws? Message us before you order and we’ll help you find the right ones.
Room
Sixty-two and a half.
That’s how many times the HomeBase 3’s built-in 16 GB goes into this drive’s 1,000 GB. Our arithmetic (1,000 ÷ 16), not a eufy figure.
- 16 GB
- Built into the HomeBase 3, non-removable
- 1,000 GB
- On this drive: 1 TB
- 931 GB
- How apps that count in binary show the same 1 TB
- 16 TB
- The largest drive the HomeBase 3 takes, on eufy’s guide
Days of footage? eufy publishes no figure for a 1 TB drive, so we don’t print a guess.
Where recordings go
Drive first.
Once the drive is formatted, the HomeBase 3 stores recordings on it first. The built-in 16 GB takes over only after the drive is full.
Before you buy
HomeBase 3. Only.
Check your hub first. This drive fits one eufy hub. Our compatibility checker marks the HomeBase 2, Mini and Professional S1 not compatible.
-
✓HomeBase 3 S380
Takes a 5 V, 2.5-inch SATA hard drive or SSD up to 16 TB, on eufy’s guide. This 1 TB drive fits it.
-
✕HomeBase 2
Asked whether its storage can be expanded, eufy answers “Not yet.” It has 16 GB built in.
-
✕HomeBase Mini
Not compatible with this drive. Its own storage is 8 GB built in plus a microSD card up to 1 TB, sold separately.
-
✕Professional S1
It has a 3.5-inch bay. A 2.5-inch drive only fits it with a converter bracket, which we don’t stock.
-
✕PoE NVR S4
It needs a 3.5-inch SATA surveillance drive.

- 5 V
- Only. eufy doesn’t support drives that need 12 V.
- 2.5″
- SATA, hard drive or SSD
- 16 TB
- The largest drive the HomeBase 3 takes
- 6 W
- About the most a drive may draw: 5 V at 1.2 A
Brand New (OEM Packaging)
Just the drive.
New and never used, sealed in an anti-static bag. OEM packaging means no retail box: just the drive in its sealed bag.
Why the label says Toshiba
eufy supplies the drive and Toshiba makes it, so Toshiba’s label is the one you’ll see. There’s no eufy branding on it.
In the bag
- The 1 TB hard drive, sealed in its anti-static bag
Not in the bag
- Screws: use the ones that came with your HomeBase 3
- Cables or a USB enclosure: it’s an internal drive
- A retail box
Questions
Before you ask.
The label says Toshiba. Is that right?
Yes. eufy supplies this drive and Toshiba makes it, so Toshiba’s label is the one you’ll see, with no eufy branding. It’s new and never used, sealed in its anti-static bag, with no retail box.
Will it fit my HomeBase 2, Mini or S1?
No. It fits the HomeBase 3 (S380) only. eufy says the HomeBase 2’s storage can’t be expanded yet. The HomeBase Mini isn’t compatible with this drive; its own storage is 8 GB plus a microSD card up to 1 TB. The Professional S1 has a 3.5-inch bay, and a 2.5-inch drive only fits it with a converter bracket, which we don’t stock. The PoE NVR S4 needs a 3.5-inch SATA surveillance drive.
How many days of footage will 1 TB hold?
eufy doesn’t publish a figure for a 1 TB drive, so we won’t invent one. What we can say: 1,000 GB is 62½ times the HomeBase 3’s built-in 16 GB.
Why does my app show about 931 GB?
Apps that count in binary show a 1 TB drive (a million million bytes) as about 931 GB. Same drive, same room.
Could I use a drive I already own?
eufy’s guide says the HomeBase 3 takes a 5 V, 2.5-inch SATA hard drive or SSD up to 16 TB, drawing about 6 W at most (5 V, 1.2 A), and it doesn’t support drives that need 12 V. This one is supplied by eufy, sealed and new, and backed by our 12-month warranty.
I’ve lost my HomeBase 3’s screws.
Message us before you order and we’ll help you find the right ones. Our bag holds the drive only.

Compatibility follows eufy’s most recent published guides. Where eufy’s documents disagree, we follow the most recent one, and where eufy hasn’t confirmed a pairing we mark it not compatible until it does.
A HomeBase 3 with this drive stores what your cameras record; it doesn’t prevent anything.
Photos marked “eufy product image” are eufy’s, from its HomeBase 3 pages; we cropped them and removed eufy’s printed headline text. The drive in eufy’s fitting photo is an SSD. Illustrations and diagrams are labelled and not to scale, except the storage bars, which are drawn to scale. The drawn drive is generic: yours carries Toshiba’s label.
Our own 12-month warranty applies, not a manufacturer warranty. Nothing here limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
