Cable-distance note: eufy's NVR guidance specifies Cat5 or Cat6 and up to 100 metres for a direct run. Longer arrangements require an appropriate powered PoE-switch topology. Cable quality, conductor type, PoE budget, surge protection and local rules still govern the job.

Weatherproofing remains an installation task. Seal the connector correctly, use a drip loop and suitable cable entry, and follow local requirements. Neither IP65 nor IP67 covers a badly sealed joint or immersion.

Can the E40 work by itself?
No. It needs a compatible separately sold controller, suitable PoE cabling and configured storage.
APPLICATION GATE: no compatible controller means no complete working camera system.
Does HomeBase Professional S1 work?
Yes, according to eufy's current compatibility list. PoE Cam E40/T8P00 is marked supported. Confirm the current S1 setup, PoE, storage and firmware requirements.
CURRENT RECORD: older E40 product copy may still call NVR S4 the exclusive route.
Does HomeBase 2 or HomeBase 3 work?
No. They are not supported routes for this PoE camera. Do not confuse T8P00 PoE Cam E40 with T8144 battery eufyCam E40.
Is a controller included?
No. NVR S4, NVR S4 Max and HomeBase Professional S1 are separate products. This parcel contains the kit-separated camera and its standard boxed accessories.
Is the approximately 18 m cable included?
Yes. The supplied 59 ft / approximately 18 m Ethernet cable is included. A different permanent cable length or route may still be required for the installation.
Does it record continuously?
It supports 24/7 recording through a correctly configured compatible controller and storage path. Power, storage, firmware and settings matter.
Is it a PTZ camera?
No. It is fixed-position. The listed 5x zoom is digital, not mechanical pan, tilt or optical zoom.
Is a monthly subscription required?
No monthly cloud subscription is required for the listed core functions. Footage records to compatible local controller storage. Optional services and future feature changes are separate.
What does New No Box mean?
New and unused kit-separated stock with all standard functional boxed contents in protective non-retail packaging, without the individual retail carton. Not renewed, refurbished, Open Box or used.
What warranty applies?
CamGuard provides a 12-month in-house warranty for covered faults. It is not a eufy manufacturer warranty and sits alongside Australian Consumer Law rights.
How do shipping and returns work?
Express shipping is included on orders over $99. Same-day to one-business-day dispatch is typical from Townsville; busy periods can take longer. WA buyers should usually allow 2-4 business days. Local pickup is available.

Will the agent inspect the top of the fan?
Nobody knows. That uncertainty is what gives the ceiling fan its power. The fictional rental inspection on this page is not included with the camera.
