eufy specifies a 3W panel, a 360-degree bracket and a 2 m USB-C lead. Its product page describes a few hours of direct sun; its T8705 support guidance recommends at least two hours. Neither is a guarantee that charging will keep pace with every camera or installation.

Before you buy.
- It charges a battery. It is not a power supply. The T8705 tops up a compatible camera's own rechargeable battery using direct sunlight. It cannot run a camera that has no battery fitted, and it adds no storage, Wi-Fi or app feature of its own.
- It does not guarantee an end to manual charging. eufy's own wording is that a compatible camera stays charged with just a few hours of direct sunlight a day. How true that is on a given wall depends on orientation, shade, season, temperature and how busy the camera is.
- The cable is fixed, not extendable on its own. On CamGuard's own stock, the attached lead is 2 m and cannot be swapped for a longer one. A separate, compatible extension cable is needed if the sunny spot is further from the camera than that.
- Compatibility runs by exact camera model. eufy's own compatibility wording for the T8705 differs between its regional pages. Check the exact camera model and its charging port before buying, especially for older Micro-USB-era models.

- eufyCam 2, 2 Pro, 2C and 2C Pro, through eufy's USB-C to Micro-USB adapter. eufy's T8705 user guide gives the adapter-and-gasket steps for these four cameras. The adapter is not supplied with our loose panels; ask us before buying if you need one.
Does not work with
- Powering a camera with no battery fitted. The panel tops up an existing rechargeable battery. It is a charging accessory, not a power source on its own.
- Extra storage, Wi-Fi or app features. The panel adds none of these. It only carries charge from the panel to the camera.

Check the camera port and sealing parts
T8705 is a charging accessory for the supported eufy cameras, not a camera or power backup. Its two-metre USB-C lead connects through the model-specific sealing arrangement. Older Micro-USB cameras require the correct official adapter and gasket. Check this offer’s exclusions and choose a site with useful direct sunlight before buying.
- Confirm the exact camera and port. Check the exact eufy camera model and whether its charging port is USB-C or Micro-USB before ordering or mounting anything.
- Find the real sun, not the assumed sun. Watch the mounting wall across a normal day. Eaves, fences and trees often beat a spot that looks sunny at a glance.
- Secure and aim the bracket. Fix the 360-degree mounting bracket to a suitable surface and angle the panel toward the useful sun, independently of where the camera points.
- Connect and weather-seal. Run the attached lead to the camera's charging port without crushing or stretching it, and fit any waterproof cover the camera model requires.

No. The grade describes the housing, not the electronics. A renewed unit runs the same published spec sheet. The difference is cosmetic marks and the plain packaging it ships in.
Will this work with my eufy camera?
eufy's T8705 user guide shows eufyCam 2, 2 Pro, 2C and 2C Pro connecting through eufy's USB-C to Micro-USB adapter with a waterproof gasket. Our loose panels do not include that adapter, so ask us first if your camera is one of those four.
How much sun does it actually need?
eufy's own wording is that a compatible camera stays charged with just a few hours of direct sunlight a day. Real results depend on orientation, shade, season, temperature and how busy the camera is.
Does it add storage or any camera feature?
No. The panel only carries charge to the camera's own battery. It does not add storage, Wi-Fi, an app feature or anything else to the camera.
Can I use a longer cable?
The attached lead is fixed to the panel and cannot be swapped. A separate, compatible extension cable is needed if your sunny spot is further away than the attached lead reaches.

Will this work with eufyCam 2C?
The T8705 can support eufyCam 2C and 2C Pro only when the correct official USB-C-to-Micro-USB adapter and matching camera cover are fitted. Neither piece is included in this renewed parcel. Source the correct parts first and follow the camera-specific waterproof installation route in the current guide.
Is the cable detachable?
No. The two-metre USB-C lead is fixed to the solar panel and cannot be detached or replaced. Measure the route from the panel's useful-sun position to the camera port before ordering. If it exceeds two metres, a compatible extension is a separate purchase and must suit the exact installation.
Does solar mean I never charge manually?
No guarantee can be made. Solar input changes with orientation, direct sun, shade, dirt, season, temperature, camera settings and event workload. eufy support recommends at least two hours of direct sunlight daily, but a busy camera or weak solar position can still require periodic manual charging.

Inspect the installation periodically, keep the panel face clear of debris and do not treat an IP rating as permission for damaged seals.
