The camera equivalent of the old tradie ute that has outlived three apprentices.

It pans 360°, follows people, vehicles and pets, sees in 2K colour after dark and keeps its battery topped up from a detachable 3W panel. Unlike the ute, this one is brand new, factory sealed and contains no fossilised servo pie beneath the passenger seat.

A half bag of premix. Three tie-downs, none related. One retired tea towel. The C37’s detachable solar panel is the only item doing useful work before smoko: put the camera where the view works and the panel where the sun works. Fair Work has asked us to clarify that the panel is not technically an apprentice.

Three hundred thousand kays. Zero blind-spot excuses.

The motorised head pans and tilts for 360° coverage. AI detection recognises people, vehicles and pets, then auto-tracking keeps the moving subject centred instead of filing another twelve-second clip of an empty gate. The neighbourhood cat has declined to comment and remains a person of interest.

The 6,700mAh battery is rated by eufy at up to 45 days per charge under its test conditions. With useful sunlight, the separate 3W panel does the topping-up. Solar results still depend on angle, weather, shade, activity and temperature.

04 · Roadworthy certificate

Items noted before money changes hands

2K event recording, 127° field of view, IP65 weather resistance, spotlight colour and infrared night modes. Also: no built-in storage, no continuous recording, no HomeBase 2 and no Apple Home. A roadworthy report should mention the oil leak, not wait for the driveway stain. The marketing department has been asked to remain in the passenger seat until the limitations are read aloud.

05 · Key-ring compatibility

The keys that fit—and the ones that absolutely do not

Use it standalone on Wi-Fi with a microSD card up to 256GB, or pair it with HomeBase 3 / S380 or HomeBase Mini on the firmware versions eufy specifies. Alexa and Google Assistant are supported. HomeBase 2 and Apple Home stay on the wrong key ring.

Built for the fence line, not a showroom floor

Good for back fences, side gates, sheds and driveways where one moving camera beats three fixed guesses. Poor fit if you need 24/7 recording, Apple Home, HomeBase 2, or a sunless spot you never intend to recharge.

09 · Service bay

One camera, two mounting jobs and no apprentice sent back to the ute

The camera and its detachable panel mount separately. That is useful when the best view faces the gate but the best direct sun lands somewhere else. Run the supplied 0.6m USB-C lead between the planned positions, keep both brackets weather-sensible and test the live view before tightening everything. The panel is the rare apprentice that turns up early, works quietly and never asks which end of the spanner is Wi-Fi.

This Brand New, factory-sealed kit includes the C37, detachable 3W panel, a bracket for each, the 0.6m USB-C cable, screw packs, documentation and warning sticker. It does not include a microSD card or HomeBase. Everything is laid out at the counter before a bloke can glance into the box and say “yeah mate, should all be there”.

For a back fence, side gate, shed or driveway, the C37 combines moving coverage with local event storage and solar support. It is not the right tool for 24/7 recording, HomeBase 2, Apple Home or a permanently shaded corner that nobody will recharge. Buy it for the job it actually does and the old ute may finally enjoy one smoko without being asked to fetch another fixed camera.
