HomeBase 3 is also compatible (firmware V3.7.8.4+). HomeBase 2 and Apple Home are not supported.
Recording media: This product can use a microSD card. For security-camera recording, we recommend High Endurance media; we do not currently stock the recording-grade card we recommend.

The Event Flipbook is built around a simple truth: most hours at home are gloriously uneventful. Nobody needs a feature-length documentary of a wheelie bin doing absolutely nothing. C37 records events rather than continuous 24/7 footage, so the meaningful moments become the pages and the empty hours are deliberately left out.
Put four cameras where your actual household story unfolds. Front approach, driveway, side access and backyard are sensible starting points, not a mandatory screenplay. Each camera can pan through 360 degrees and tilt through 90 degrees, with human, vehicle and pet recognition plus automatic tracking to help keep a moving subject in view. It records, does not prevent, and good placement still matters.
The running production note is “less ladder chat.” Each camera has a 6700mAh rechargeable battery and its own detachable 3W solar panel. Sunlight and event activity vary by property, so solar charging is assistance, not a promise that the ladder retires forever. Still, giving every camera its own panel is a very decent opening scene.
Useful detail for checking clothing, a vehicle or the parcel that somehow became “delivered near front door.” Digital zoom cannot invent detail that was never captured, so mounting distance and light remain part of the picture.
A 360-degree pan and 90-degree tilt range gives one camera a much broader look around than a fixed view. It is still one camera, not a tiny all-seeing lighthouse with opinions.

C37 uses event-based recording. It does not provide continuous 24/7 recording. When configured detection is triggered, the system can record a clip and send an app notification according to your settings. When nothing happens, the flipbook does not pad itself with twelve hours of fence.
That makes review more practical and supports battery operation, but it also means this is the wrong product if uninterrupted footage is essential. Detection zones, sensitivity, mounting height, subject speed, weather, network conditions and other settings can influence what becomes a page.
The blank frames here are not a loading error. They are four quiet stretches in which the recycling bin demonstrated excellent behaviour.
Each C37 can pan through 360 degrees and tilt through 90 degrees. AI recognition covers people, vehicles and pets, while auto-tracking can move the camera to follow a recognised moving subject. The practical advantage is flexibility: one well-positioned camera can look around a larger scene than a fixed-angle unit.
Auto-tracking is assistance, not a guarantee of complete capture. Obstacles, rapid movement and the camera’s physical position can affect the result. Place for the approach path first; let the motor do the supporting role.
Every camera receives a detachable 3W panel in the factory-sealed kit. The 6700mAh internal battery provides the reserve; suitable daily sunlight can replenish it. The cable lets the panel chase sun while the camera chases the useful view, which is a healthier division of labour than asking one wall position to do both perfectly.
Battery life is not a fixed calendar promise. eufy’s example reaches up to 45 days at 75 events per day, but actual results vary with detections, recording length, live viewing, tracking, temperature, signal quality and solar exposure. A very busy driveway writes more pages and uses more power than a quiet side gate.
Mount the panel where it receives reliable light, keep its face reasonably clean and check the app’s charging behaviour after installation. “Pointed generally skywards” is a mood, not a solar plan.
C37 offers colour night vision using its integrated spotlight and infrared night vision for a less conspicuous monochrome view. Choose the mode that fits the position, neighbours and the kind of detail you want. A bright spotlight facing a bedroom window may win the technical argument and lose the street group chat.
The included HomeBase Mini provides local storage and coordination for the kit. Its built-in 8GB eMMC has less user-available capacity after system files, which is normal. A compatible microSD card up to 1TB can be added for more local event storage; the card is sold separately.
HomeBase Mini also supports face recognition and cross-camera tracking across the four C37 cameras. Think of it as the continuity editor: an event can be associated across camera views when the feature recognises the same person. Results depend on usable views and system conditions, so it is helpful organisation rather than courtroom-grade identity proof.

CamGuard Australia separately includes one Australian RCM-tick USB power adapter outside the eufy retail box. This lets the factory package stay sealed while providing the appropriate Australian adapter. The extra adapter is not evidence of an opened or repacked camera kit.

Clips are created when configured detection is triggered, subject to placement, settings and scene conditions. This helps battery operation and makes the event list easier to review, but it is not suitable where uninterrupted footage is a core requirement.
No monthly camera subscription is required for core local recording. HomeBase Mini includes 8GB eMMC, with usable capacity reduced by system files. A compatible microSD card up to 1TB can be added to the Mini, or each C37 can use standalone microSD up to 256GB. Cards are optional and not included.
C37 works with the included HomeBase Mini and is also compatible with HomeBase 3 when the system and app are on supported current firmware. It does not work with HomeBase 2.
