Compatibility: Works on its own over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi - no HomeBase needed. Live view, alerts and two-way talk work out of the box; to keep footage on the camera, add a Class-10 microSD card (up to 128 GB, sold separately). Optional: HomeBase 3 (sold separately) for central storage up to 16 TB; HomeBase Mini and HomeBase Professional S1 are also supported.

Placement

Where this camera works best

Suggested locations
A stable shelf or benchtop; Wall or ceiling mounted with the included bracket (manual suggests about 2.4-3 m); A living area, hallway, entry or pet zone
Needs
A power point within cable reach (2 m USB-C cable + power adapter in the retail kit) and 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. For on-camera recording: a Class-10 microSD card up to 128 GB (sold separately).
Avoid
Outdoor or damp areas, strong window glare, spots within 0.2 m of walls or objects (infrared reflections), blocked pan-tilt movement, and private spaces.

Mains-powered - keep it within reach of a power point (2 m cable included). 2.4GHz Wi-Fi only.

Before drilling: test live view, motion coverage, night vision, Wi-Fi signal and cable reach from the exact spot first.

Household resources
Annual review · Indoor Cam E30

A CamGuard Australia household production

The Housemate
Performance
Review.

The desk fan has been carrying this team.

With 4K detail, human and pet detection, and two-way audio, the E30 is well suited to observing the household’s daily performances.

Illustrative miniature HR office: a fan wins employee of the year, a remote awaits review and the white eufy Indoor Cam E30 observes from the desk
Fictional household HR artwork. The props are illustrative; this is not camera footage or an app screen. The E30 requires continuous power.

Role: indoor camera. Salary expectations: a power point.
01 / The job description

A small camera.
A lot to observe.

Check on the lounge room, say hello to the dog and look back at recorded moments. The E30 brings 4K resolution, motorised pan and tilt, and two-way audio to an indoor spot with power and Wi-Fi.

No HomeBase required for standalone use.

Human resources note: the camera has no battery career path. It stays plugged in. Local recording needs compatible storage; a microSD card is not in this box.

02 / Employee of the year

Always turning up.
Usually to three.

The fan’s review is glowing. The camera’s job is more practical: use the eufy app to view the room and check what is happening while you are elsewhere.

Open the fan’s annual appraisal

Strengths: excellent circulation.
Development area: going in circles.
Team feedback: a breath of fresh air.

MEETS ALL AIR
EXPECTATIONS

The appraisal is our joke. The E30 does not identify a fan, assess its performance or generate personnel files. Its built-in AI supports human and pet detection and tracking.

03 / Personnel files

Know the team.
Keep it factual.

The household has a lot of opinions. The E30’s AI has specific detection categories. Furniture is not one of them.

The two-legged
colleagues.

Human detection helps distinguish people in the camera’s view. Motion tracking can follow detected movement as the camera turns.

Has called walking to the fridge
“a site visit”.

Detection depends on placement, settings and conditions. A cupboard still blocks the view, regardless of seniority.

The four-legged
management.

Pet detection and tracking are useful for checking what your animal is doing around the room. Two-way audio lets you speak through the camera.

Attends every lunch meeting.
Has never read the agenda.

The camera can show the pet. It cannot explain the cushion. HR has referred that matter back to the dog.

The quiet
achiever.

The plant appears in the video like other objects in the room. There is no advertised furniture recognition or plant-health assessment.

Has requested a role
with more growth.

A curtain moving in a breeze may create motion. The camera does not know it has excellent attendance and inconsistent focus.

360°

Motorised horizontal pan
Illustration of movement, not a live camera view

04 / Peer review, literally

Let’s look at this
from another angle.

Motorised pan and tilt let the E30 change its viewing direction. Use the app to look around, or enable tracking for supported detected subjects.

The remote lists “changing the channel” under strategic transformation. The E30’s actual transformation is a camera angle you can adjust without moving the whole unit.

360° describes the pan movement, not a simultaneous view of the entire room. Walls, furniture and the camera’s current direction still matter. Choose a position with a clear view of the area you want to monitor.

05 / A quick word

Feedback goes
both ways.

The E30’s built-in microphone and speaker support two-way audio through the eufy app. Listen in and speak to someone near the camera.

Tell the dog you’ll be home soon. Ask a housemate where the charger went. The remote has requested all feedback in writing; it has been unusually quiet since moving under the sofa.

Audio clarity and response depend on the network, room noise and distance. A strong Wi-Fi signal does more for the meeting than saying “you’re on mute” three times.

Feature reference: two-way audio.

06 / The late shift

Someone is still
in the kitchen.

The E30 offers infrared night vision and a built-in spotlight for colour night vision. The fridge has once again scheduled a meeting after everyone went to bed.

Clock in for the lighting briefing
LATE SHIFT / BRIEFED

The built-in spotlight supplies extra illumination for colour night vision. It is off by default; enable the light and the relevant motion-light setting in the eufy app. Infrared night vision is also available when you prefer the infrared view.

Colour night vision needs light. The spotlight is a real light in the room, so consider its placement if someone is sleeping nearby. The desk lamp’s application for overtime is unrelated to the camera’s settings.

This drawn desk is illustrative, not a sample of the camera’s night-vision quality. Results depend on distance, scene lighting and setup.

07 / Records department

Even the minutes
need a drawer.

The E30 supports event and continuous recording. Choose compatible storage, then set up recording in the eufy app. Power and storage are both required.

A microSD card up to 128 GB is the straightforward local option. The card is sold separately. A beautifully labelled empty drawer remains an empty drawer.

Local recording does not require a monthly subscription. Optional cloud storage has a subscription. Cloud backup and thumbnail-preview notifications can send video or images to the cloud when those features are used.

01 / microSD

Use a compatible microSD card up to 128 GB. eufy specifies Class 10 or higher, SDXC and UHS-I. Insert it and format it in the eufy app before recording.

Filing capacity: useful.
Card supplied: no.

02 / HomeBase 3

The E30 is compatible with HomeBase 3 (S380), an optional, separately sold storage route. You do not need to buy a HomeBase just to set up the camera for standalone use.

An optional branch office.
No compulsory relocation.

03 / Cloud option

eufy Cloud is optional and needs an active subscription. It is separate from the camera’s local recording option. Choose the arrangement that suits your household and review the service’s current terms in the app.

“In the cloud” is a storage choice.
For the plant, it is a weather forecast.

08 / Connection policy

Bring the right
Wi-Fi to work.

2.4 GHz

The E30 connects to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. It does not connect to a 5 GHz-only network. Use a compatible phone with the eufy app for setup and control.

Check the signal where the camera will sit. The plant’s excellent relationship with the window is not a network strategy.

Integration memo / read before pairing

Apple Home has
its own paperwork.

The E30 supports Apple Home (HomeKit), Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. HomeKit resolution is limited to 1080p. The camera’s 4K capability does not mean 4K through HomeKit.

Use compatible devices and current software. Smart-home features vary with the platform and setup.

The committee has reviewed 4K.
HomeKit has filed it at 1080p.

09 / Desk allocation

A good role.
In the right room.

Best suited to indoor spaces where you want an adjustable view, pet check-ins and local recording, with a power point and reliable 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi nearby.

The E30 records; it does not prevent incidents. Set it up thoughtfully, respect the privacy of people in the room and agree on its use in shared spaces.

The plant requested a window office.
The camera requested an unobstructed view.

Probably not your next hire if…

  • You need a weatherproof camera outside. This is an indoor model.
  • You need a battery-powered, cable-free installation. The E30 needs continuous power.
  • Your only available Wi-Fi is 5 GHz. The camera uses 2.4 GHz.
  • You require 4K video within Apple Home. HomeKit is limited to 1080p.
  • You want to record locally without adding storage. A compatible microSD card or optional HomeBase 3 is sold separately.
10 / New starter pack

One camera.
Actual office supplies.

Brand New, white eufy Indoor Cam E30 in its sealed retail packaging. The standard E30 pack includes the following items.

  • 01 Indoor Cam E30 camera
  • 02 USB-A to USB-C power cable, 2 m
  • 03 Power adapter
  • 04 Wall mount
  • 05 Positioning sticker
  • 06 Screw and anchor pack
  • 07 Quick Start Guide

Separate requisitions.

microSD card: not included.
HomeBase 3: not included; optional.

The fan, remote and personnel department also remain on the illustration’s payroll.

No subscription or miniature office furniture is included with the camera.

We do not open sealed units and do not claim to have tested your individual unit. Product photographs show the model; the household HR artwork is illustrative.

11 / First-day induction

The onboarding
is shorter than this meeting.

  1. Choose the desk.

Pick a stable indoor position with a clear view, a nearby power outlet and a good 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi signal. Follow the supplied guide if using the mount. A leafy foreground is a lovely promotion for the plant and an unhelpful camera position.

  2. Connect the power.

Connect the supplied cable and power adapter. Keep the camera plugged in for operation. Wi-Fi handles the connection, not the electricity; procurement has declined the proposal to run it on good intentions.

  3. Introduce it to the app.

Install the eufy app on a compatible phone, add the camera and follow the pairing instructions. Connect to your 2.4 GHz network, then check for available firmware updates before setting up the features you want to use.

  4. Choose what gets filed.

Insert and format your compatible microSD card, or configure your optional HomeBase 3. Set recording, detection, tracking and light preferences. Review the view and your household’s privacy arrangements. The fan’s award ceremony can wait until setup is finished.

13 / Questions for HR

Before this becomes
another email.

Open a question for the practical answer. The suggestion box is full of requests for a larger snack budget.

Can I start without buying a HomeBase?

Yes. The Indoor Cam E30 can work as a standalone camera with the eufy app and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Add a compatible microSD card if you want local recording on the camera. HomeBase 3 is an optional, separately sold option. Neither the card nor the HomeBase is included in this listing.

Does “Wi-Fi camera” mean no power cable?

No. Wi-Fi describes the network connection. The E30 needs continuous wired power through its USB cable and adapter, both included. Choose an indoor location with power within reach and keep the cable routed sensibly. It is not a rechargeable or battery-operated model, however persuasive the remote’s flexible-working proposal might be.

Will Apple Home show the full 4K picture?

HomeKit is limited to 1080p on the E30. The camera supports 4K, but that does not carry through as 4K in Apple Home. It also supports Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant with compatible devices and setup. Choose the platform for the features you need, and keep the camera and app software current.

Can it record through the night?

The E30 supports continuous and event recording when you provide power and suitable storage. Infrared night vision is available, while the built-in spotlight provides extra light for colour night vision. The spotlight is off by default and needs enabling in the app. Select the settings that suit the room; the drawing above is not footage from the camera.

Does local storage mean nothing ever uses the cloud?

No. Local recording means recordings can be stored on your microSD card or supported HomeBase setup without a required monthly subscription. If you choose cloud backup, or notifications with thumbnail previews, video or thumbnail images can be sent to the cloud to provide those features. Optional eufy Cloud storage needs an active subscription.

Will it recognise the plant, fan and remote?

No. Those are characters in our fictional household appraisal. The camera’s advertised AI includes human and pet detection and tracking, not furniture identification, productivity scoring or automatic HR reports. Objects can still appear in the video or contribute to general motion. The fan awarded itself employee of the year. We suspect a procedural issue.

What dispatch timing should I allow?

We do our best to send orders the same day. Same-day to one business day is our typical dispatch time. Busy periods can occasionally extend that, although it is rare. Australia Post Express is included on orders of $99.00 and over. Under $99.00, tracked Standard postage is $9.95 or Express is $12.95. Dispatch is the handover to the carrier, not a guaranteed delivery date.

Shipping and dispatch

Australia Post Express is included on orders of $99.00 and over. Under $99.00, tracked Standard postage is $9.95 or Express is $12.95. Same-day to one business day is our typical dispatch time, and during busy periods it can stretch a little. Tracking is sent as soon as the label is made.

Extensions during busy periods are rare. Dispatch timing is separate from the carrier’s delivery time.
