This camera does not perform solo.
The E40 is a PoE add-on designed for a compatible eufy NVR S4 system. It does not work as a standalone Wi-Fi camera and does not pair with HomeBase 2, HomeBase 3 / S380 or HomeBase Mini.
- The compatible NVR is sold separately.
- Recording storage lives on the NVR hard drive; the camera has no microSD slot.
- Third-party NVR operation is not supported.
- eufy’s current compatibility schedule includes PoE E40 model T8P00 with HomeBase Professional S1; features depend on the selected recorder/base and firmware.
WHY IS THIS NOTICE SO LARGE?
Because “add-on camera” is the product equivalent of a festival volunteer saying the venue moved. We would rather repeat the requirement than have you open a sealed box and discover a very stylish paperweight.

The E40 is a fixed bullet camera with a published 122° wide view. Use the live image during setup to frame the driveway, gate or business approach you actually need.
Good direction: clear approach line, useful mounting height, sensible privacy zones and a weather-sealed cable entry.
Five-times digital zoom helps inspect captured detail, but the body does not mechanically pan, tilt or track across the yard. Choose an S4 Bullet-PTZ model if moving coverage is the brief.
The E40’s job is dependable fixed 4K coverage, not interpretive dance.
