Brand New — Factory Sealed Retail Box

Push the brass lever. The door already knows you.

Every good pub has one door handle that’s been polished shiny by forty years of hands. The eufy Smart Lever Lock C33 is that handle, with a fingerprint reader built into the grip — so the same motion that opens the door is the one that identifies you. No knob. No deadbolt. A proper lever, the way an Aussie front door likes it.

  • Fingerprint reader built into the lever grip — up to 50 fingerprints stored
  • Also opens by keypad code, NFC card, the eufy app, or a physical key
  • Built-in Wi-Fi — no bridge, no hub, no HomeBase required
  • Runs on 8 AA batteries, included in the box
  • Fits wooden and steel doors 35–55 mm thick — measure yours first

Tonight’s Specials
Grip & Go The Usual
The fingerprint reader sits in the lever grip, so you don’t reach for a separate pad — you just take hold of the handle the way you always would. Up to 50 fingerprints can be enrolled, which covers a family, a couple of grandparents and the neighbour who feeds the cat.
The Round Of Five House Pour
Five different ways through the same door: fingerprint, keypad passcode, NFC card, the eufy app, or the good old physical key. Different people in a house want different things — teenagers want a code, tradies want a temporary one, and someone always wants a key in their pocket regardless.
No Hub, No Middleman Straight From The Keg
Wi-Fi is built into the lock. eufy states no bridge is required, so there’s no extra box to buy, plug in and find a shelf for. Once it’s on your network you can lock, unlock and check the lock’s state from the eufy app, and it works with Alexa and Google Home.
Closes Behind You Last Drinks
Auto-lock is supported, so the door can secure itself after you’ve wandered off with an armful of shopping. The lock is rated IP53 and eufy lists it for wooden and steel doors — and it handles doors that open on the left or the right, so you don’t need to specify a handing when you order.
A front door should open like a pub door — one hand, no fuss, no digging through a bag.

House Rules — the honest bit

Every pub has a sign like this. Read it before you order, not after.

  • 1
Measure your door before you buy. eufy specifies a door thickness of 35 mm to 55 mm, a cross-bore of 54 mm, a backset of 60 mm or 70 mm, and a door-edge hole of 25 mm. eufy also asks that any existing handle-set sits more than 45 mm from the cross-bore. A tape measure costs nothing; a lock that won’t fit costs a return.
  • 2
It is a lever lock, not a deadbolt. This replaces a handle set. If your door currently has a separate deadbolt above the handle, the C33 does not replace that deadbolt — it replaces the handle below it. Worth knowing before the screwdriver comes out.
  • 3
No Apple HomeKit and no Matter. eufy states the C33 is not compatible with Apple HomeKit or Matter. It does work with Alexa and Google Home. If your whole house runs on HomeKit scenes, this one won’t join in.
  • 4
eufy quotes different battery figures in different places. The eufy Australia page markets the C33 as “12-Month Power”, while eufy’s US product page for the same model lists 8 months. Both are estimates that depend on how often the door gets used and how cold it gets. Take either number as a guide, not a guarantee — and note the batteries are ordinary AAs, so replacements are a supermarket item.
  • 5
The USB-C port is for emergencies, not charging. eufy describes the exterior USB-C port as an emergency power supply. It is there so a flat set of batteries doesn’t leave you standing on the veranda — it is not a rechargeable lock.
  • 6
NFC card quantity isn’t published. eufy lists NFC card as an unlock method for the C33 but does not publish how many cards ship in the retail box. We won’t guess — if cards matter to you, plan on sourcing them separately and treat anything in the box as a bonus.
  • 7
It needs 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi coverage at the front door. The lock is only as connected as your network is. If your router is at the far end of a rendered-brick house and the front door is a dead spot, sort the Wi-Fi first — the fingerprint, keypad and key all still work offline, but the app features won’t.

Stamped on the back of your hand

Will it get in?

Admitted

Wooden or steel door, 35–55 mm thick, with a 54 mm cross-bore and a 60 mm or 70 mm backset. This is the C33’s home ground.

Admitted

Doors that open left or right. eufy states the C33 works with both, so you don’t need to nominate a handing.

Admitted

Alexa and Google Home households. Both are listed by eufy as supported voice assistants.

Knocked Back

Apple HomeKit and Matter setups. eufy states the C33 is not compatible with either.

Knocked Back

Doors outside 35–55 mm, or without a standard cross-bore. Sliding doors, security screens and glass-panel doors with no bore are not what this lock is designed for.

Ask At The Door

Deadbolt replacement. The C33 is a lever handle set. If you specifically want to replace a deadbolt, look at eufy’s deadbolt models instead.

Ask At The Door

Weak Wi-Fi at the front door. The lock itself keeps working offline via fingerprint, code and key — but remote control and app notifications need a signal that actually reaches the door.

Ask At The Door

Rental properties. Changing a front-door lock usually needs the owner’s or agent’s permission, and you’ll want the original handle set kept safe for the end of the lease.

Last drinks — probably not for you if…

  • Your front door is thinner than 35 mm or thicker than 55 mm.
  • You want a deadbolt. This is a lever handle set.
  • Your smart home is built on Apple HomeKit or Matter.
  • You want a lock that recharges. The USB-C port is for emergency power, not routine charging.
  • You’re after a specific number of NFC cards in the box — eufy doesn’t publish that figure.
  • You’d rather never touch a screwdriver. It’s a straightforward swap, but it is still a DIY fit.

Perfect for the regulars

A
Households with too many keys. Kids, grandparents, house-sitters — 50 fingerprints and 100 codes covers a lot of comings and goings.
B
Anyone who arrives with full hands. Grip the lever, the door opens. That’s the entire interaction.
C
People who don’t want another hub. Wi-Fi is built in, so there’s no bridge to buy or power.
D
Alexa or Google households who want the lock to answer to the same voice as everything else.
E
Renovators and landlords handing out temporary codes instead of cutting yet another key.
F
Anyone replacing a tired handle set on a standard bored wooden or steel door.
Four pulls and you’re served

Getting it on the door

1

Measure first

Door thickness 35–55 mm, cross-bore 54 mm, backset 60 mm or 70 mm, edge hole 25 mm. Check before you unscrew anything.

2

Swap the handle set

Old handle off, C33 exterior and interior assemblies on, latch through the edge bore. Keep the old set for the shed.

3

Load the AAs

Eight AA batteries come in the box. Mind the polarity marks — eufy calls that out in its own troubleshooting notes.

4

Pair and enrol

Add the lock in the eufy app over your Wi-Fi, then enrol fingerprints and set your codes. Link Alexa or Google Home if you use them.

Questions, answered straight

Is it actually brand new, or has the box been opened?
Brand new. Factory sealed, in the full original eufy retail packaging. The carton hasn’t been opened by us.
Do I need a hub or a HomeBase for it?
No. eufy states the C33 has built-in Wi-Fi and requires no bridge. It joins your home network directly.
Will it fit my door?
Measure it. eufy specifies 35–55 mm door thickness, a 54 mm cross-bore, a 60 mm or 70 mm backset and a 25 mm door-edge hole, on wooden or steel doors. Outside those numbers, it’s the wrong lock.
What happens if the batteries go flat while I’m out?
There’s a USB-C port on the exterior that eufy provides for emergency power, and the lock also takes a physical key. Keep one in the car and you’ll never think about it again.
Does it work with my iPhone / Apple Home?
The eufy app runs on iPhone, so yes to your phone. But eufy states the C33 isn’t compatible with Apple HomeKit or Matter — only Alexa and Google Home. Worth being clear on that before you order.
How many people can I set up on it?
Up to 50 fingerprints and 100 passcodes. Plenty for a family plus tradies, cleaners and the occasional house-sitter.
Is it weatherproof? I’m in North Queensland.
eufy rates it IP53. That covers dust and light water spray — it is not a rating for driving rain hitting the lock face, so a door with some cover over it is the sensible spot for any smart lock.
Can I install it myself?
If you’ve changed a door handle before, yes — it’s a handle-set swap on a standard bored door. If your door has odd hardware or you’re not sure about the bore, a locksmith will have it on in no time.
Who do I chase if it plays up?
Us. CamGuard Australia backs it with our own 12-month in-house warranty — not a manufacturer warranty — on top of your Australian Consumer Law rights. Faulty or not as described inside 12 months, we cover the return postage.
